  1. I'll wait, it looks like Macross is having a big hit with Frontier so I'm hoping that bandai revisits the vf-25 later on like you said. They've done revised versions of gundam, eva and other properties and if resellers are already marking these up 100% I can't see how bandai wouldn't want a part of that action.
  2. the freaking out about killing zombies and then her standing there while yomi cut down her dad was a bit much. I mean, I get that she wasn't close to her dad but to just stand there... but yeah, the show is worth watching. Good production values and a pretty fun story that's a nice take on a pretty tired genre
  3. there's one on ebay (130279197267) for 226 USD, before shipping... It looks like a lot of people are all over these guys so hopefully bandai sees the demand and is will to invest more time and money into future releases
  4. because of the 2012 movie. That movie will be so coooOOOoool! I can't wait to see another giant tidal wave destroy more stuff.
  5. Yeah, I get what you're saying. I think it's because the price point is so high on these toys that we get so worked up debating them. Anyways, like I said, welcome to MW, I think if you read our posts enough, you'll find most members here are actually very fair and have nuanced views. Those of us who vale aesthetics over durability, for instance, have no problem critiquing the DX and then going to a yamato toy thread and complaining about small tail fins or overly large pilot figures.
  6. wasn't there some official MW ban on that picture?
  7. cuz the world would be a boring ass place if everyone thought the same thing and liked the same thing?
  8. but that's my point. You have your criteria for what is "your money's worth" and I and other people have theirs. Just like you think the DX is worth it, other people might not. It's not ridiculous to have different values and opinions and express them. the specifics leading up to those opinions may be ridiculous or so subjective as to be beyond discussion but the ultimate end that we all have different tastes certainly is not. If you want to argue you like your bandai's more than yamato, great for you. I'm happy that you're happy, but if your point is that I should like the DX too because you think yamatos are fragile... well... I find that just a bit ridiculous. BTW, just because I disagree with your point doesn't mean I'm not happy to have you on the board. Welcome to MW, be prepared to defend even the most mundane of your beliefs.
  9. is it a good point? people have different tastes than you and they'll express their views.
  10. I watched ga rei on wolfx's review as well. Great fun even though kagura was pretty damn annoying.
  11. Love the shots Vegas. I can hardly wait for my box from LOS to get here!
  12. my unit's drive was also traveling a lot, I just used a DVD cleaner on it and it's settled down again. then again, the guy lubricating the drive went a little crazy and I still get a fine film of lubricant all over my game discs after an hour or so of play.
  13. "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." -GWB
  14. thought that was a /148 vf-1 for a second there, but then I noticed the nose cone was a little short.
  15. It's okay because it's Robotech. A derivative, soulless amalgamation of other, more talented, people's ideas and work deserves a derivative, soulless sequel.
  16. Those are the only ones featured but there's plenty of FP'd valks in the big show down towards the end of the show.
  17. hee hee, it's like arguing over which pile of crap smells more.
  18. watched it... looks horrible. I agree that the color palette changes are really jarring, especially when it switches mid scene. A needless upgrade when all that was needed was a decent HD transfer.
  19. yup yup. What's interesting is that if Cameron had planned ahead a little, the terminator universe actually has a handy built mechanism for explaining advanced technology in the near future. He could of had the first judgement day in the like 2050 or something with an old John Conner and then in T2, have judgement day moved up with a middle aged John because people reverse engineered the terminator that came back and so on. So with every sequel, the level of technology gets upgraded as present day scientists get their hands on progressively more complex technology from the future.
  20. I love lacquer poison chicken broth with ginseng.
  21. lasers would be easier to pull off than plasma weapons, especially at that rate of fire. Encapsulated rapid fire directed plasma weapons are more far fetched than cyborg assassins with heavy Austrian accents, imo.
  22. oooh neat. Thanks for posting up the pics
  23. I dunno, I think my original point was something about how it was silly to worry about the lack of plasma weapons.
