I can't really see it as a big deal either way. Anime writers certainly have always paid attention to names and their meanings even before NGE made it so obvious and anime has always mined Buddhist and Shinto myths for stories, characters, etc. So... shrug, I think if you're looking to anime as some sort of thoughtful lesson into comparative religion, then you're in trouble...

oh, it wasn't that he wasn't japanese, it was that he never learned the honorifics or the polite way of speaking... so he's talking to this little old japanese lady who lived through WWII and he's basically using some of the roughest, rudest words and phrasing possible. Once she understood how he learned she though it was hilarious and started immediately offering to teach him the proper way to speak to adults/people in higher positions.

lol, reminds me of the time a friend of mine, who had taught himself japanese from watch anime (and nothing else) tried to talking to another friend's mom in japanese. The mom was horrified at how rude he was.

actually, worse. They stuck with a tried and true design and still fraked it up. The shoulder hinge in question is the same one from the 1/48 and the 1/60 vf-0. just smaller.

the fragility in the shoulder isn't in exchange for any particular feature or articulation, it's just too big of a pin for the material in the hinge.

what does the XT stand for in the new name: vf-1s XT? It's a variant on a variant?
