  1. I dunno, I can't believe that they would have verniers of that size with no detailing when much smaller thrusters get the thrusters molded in. I think the horizontal units on the ankle flare may be exhaust ports for leg missiles though.
  2. only the first 1s had a wide spread problem with the shoulders. A handful of hikaru's 1a had them and then it just kind of got resolved. After Max yamato switched to a non-knurled hinge pin... I have the TV max and haven't had a problem.
  3. yeah, they all have the kite, but they have varying levels of the other little markings.
  4. From the pictures it looked to me like it would be tricky to b able to epoxy the halves separately and then screw the two whole halves back together. But if you can swing it that way, it's probably for the best. Honestly, from looking at how it broke I don't know that epoxy will really do anything other than just let you hold it in place. It will probably break again if you pose it too much. Personally, I'd go through over-drive and see if replacements were possible or start looking for a junker 1/48 to cannibalize.
  5. ouch.. yeah, keep if from moving around for 24 hours, even if it says it's a 15 min epoxy or whatever.
  6. haha, they disabled the comments... lol
  7. so if it was called Final Fantasy: Avatar, we'd all be happy?
  8. but not all the 1/60s have all those particular markings. the CF VF-1j has the most so far.
  9. deduct 5 nerd points for not getting a star trek reference.
  10. obviously you missed this bit of news... http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20090817/sc_...ockfoundincomet
  11. Normal is what everyone else is and you are not.
  12. I thought House of M was pretty good.. it was when they didn't have the balls to actually stick with the logical fallout of those events that I really decided I had had enough of mainstream comics. It was such a great premise and really shake up the marvel universe. Oh well... and I hear Steve Rogers is coming back too. whatever. Yeah, I guess you're right, they separated but never divorced and then there was that whole thing if she had actually married the peter clone. Whatever, MJ-less spidey is more interesting but I actually really liked the complete reboot they did in the Ultimate lineup. Just having the devil reset everything seems like way too much of an "FU" to the readers.
  13. I'm so torn. what to do what to do??? Over-drive fixed my order so I guess I'll get my copy in september or whenever the low viz vf-1s comes out.
  14. Yeah, I did the mods to minimize the intake gap and the shoulders but such easy fixes yamato should have done themselves.
  15. Actually, they had a great lead in for that story... in House of M, peter's perfect world involved being married to Stacy and he had quiet a hard time dealing with it being fake when he got woke up. But I think they already did a Peter/MJ split story a while back as well.
  16. yeah, when the female alien chick is jumping down and shooting her bow and arrow it looked particularly bad. Oh well, still a ways off. maybe they'll go back and fix some of it like they did with the TF2 Devestator trailer footage.
  17. still has the intake gap and the shoulders that don't sit flush in fighter too. Too bad. I'm not buying another yf-19 until they fix those fit issues.
  18. the verniers are still black.
  19. Get those mutherfrakin' cylons off my mutherfrakin' ship! Sam Jackson as Adama actually sounds cool, and good for sam too, since he's not getting enough work lately. And I'm sure it will be great fun, I can only imagine the type of fan that sent death threats over women being cast as Starbuck and Boomer will only be too thrilled over a black man being cast as Adama... I think it's very likely moore's BSG will still be regarded as a great show 20 years from now. The writing is fantastic and the story and themes of the show revolve around human and character drama. And the way the technology is depicted, realistic and retro helps to insulate it from ravages of time. Ultimately, shows like the original BSG are all about the gimmick.. moore's BSG was just great human drama that happened to be set in outer space. The relationships, the human failings, the resonance of people struggling against their own base nature is something that audiences will be able to relate to for decades to come.
  20. nice pictures! Really made the battroid mode look dynamic. still gonna pass on these but your pics make it look great
  21. pictures? but in general I'd say a good 2 part epoxy.
  22. lol, "macross started robotech"
  23. That's all you needed back then, it was just that way. But you know, you try to tell that to kids these days...
