  1. either that or never... I'm leaning towards never.
  2. woohoo, high dragon down!
  3. they're gonna finish the season, just spam all the remaining episodes is what I read.
  4. bwahaha, "superman" encounter... lol
  5. Oh please, if they remade Do the Right Thing with the cast of Ocean's 11 and made Don Cheadle as Sal and the studio said they did it to make the film more "marketable", there would be a huge outcry. But since it's just asians it's "flamebaiting"? It's pathetic that a story based on east asian culture, with recognizably asian characters can be cast so that the only asians are the evil genocidal maniacs and when people get upset they're told to "get over it".
  6. I guess I should have been more clear about "long distances" like... if you're trying to wire an actual movie theater or a stadium. Most home cabling lengths will never be long enough where signal attenuation will be a problem.
  7. don't believe the hype about the high end cabling, makes no difference if you're working with HDMI. It was only important with an analog signal when signal degradation was an issue, and that was only really an issue over long distances or certain frequencies. HDMI is a digital signal so it doesn't have that short coming.
  8. What the hell does rebooting star trek have to do with taking a show that's based on east asian religious and philosophical ideas, with recognizably asian characters, who's only written language is chinese, who's characters eat asian foods, have asian names, practice asian martial arts, have morals in line with asian teachings, based on recognizably asian cultures and casting *all* the heroes with lilly white actors and *only* the villains as asians have to do with each other? This isn't like LotR, which also featured a lily white cast, but was understandable and even required due to the source material. This isn't stunt casting like casting will smith as Captain America for the sake of political correctness, this is just naked bigotry. BTW, if we follow paramount's published reasons for making the heroes all white (as part of making it more diverse) than LotR should have featured black elves, latino rohan, asian hobbits, etc. But no, hollywood and fans defended the all white cast of LotR, even though like Avatar, it takes place in a fictional fantasy world. But in that case everyone rallied to the banner that Tolkien was clearly writing based off of western european lore and mythology... so why is it okay to take a similar show, but only this time based on Asia and turn it into an all white offering? Because there's no asian kids that can act? Because that kid from Twilight has such a strong martial arts background? Give me a break, yes, you do sound like douche bag here, I'm sorry. And yes, M. Night is Indian, and as an ethnic minority in Hollywood he should know better and this is why I call this an Uncle Tom production.
  9. I bought MW2 and TRU today and got the 20$ gift card, haven't even taken it out of the shrink wrap yet, still playing Dragon Age. Already looking forward to my next run through
  10. haha, leiliana died and when she woke up she remarked, "why does this keep happening to me?"
  11. That "ethnicity" wouldn't happen to be movie make up?
  12. I don't like the new baby blue color scheme either
  13. this particular white kid plays sokka The shifty dark skinned kid plays the villain, but if you follow the show you know that eventually the good white kids redeem him. This is katara Aang The kid playing sokka says if he puts his hair up and gets a tan, everything will be okay.
  14. loved the series, will avoid this uncle tom production like the plague. Sad to see this property turned into yet another great white hope story... about a white kid who saves the world from the evil asians, along with the only other good people in the world, more white kids.
  15. it's a digital signal, either it works or it doesn't.
  16. It takes like a half hour to finish warden's keep. a nice staff for mages though.
  17. I asked my wife about this (materials engineer) and this is what she said: So hydrogen peroxide works by releasing the unstable oxygen which binds to organic compounds and destroying them. The reason why you leave the jar out in the sun is that the UV injects energy into the solution helping to free the oxygen and turned the hydrogen peroxide into water + oxygen. What you're seeing is two things: one: a lot of the dyes used in plastics have some organic compounds, they're being destroyed to expose a "fresh" layer. two: The plastic itself is being damaged by the oxidation process and new microscopic pits are being formed. So if you don't seal the plastic, it now has more surface area that can react to oxygen. Lots of plastic have an anti-UV compound mixed in to protect against yellowing, these are probably damaged as well and thus, yellowing will probably be accelerated on the newly cleaned toy.
  18. I bought it, but I haven't gone through it yet. Some people on the forums are saying it's not worth it, that the permanent base is weak and that the game locks you out after you leave. We'll see, I'll get to it tonight.
  19. nice... but pass for me, I'm not a fan of yamato's weathering either but the heavy handed approach works pretty well on the destroids, imo.
  20. I watched it... it's a rental. Basically it fills in some of the more mysterious cylon scenes from the first season and gives some back story to brother cavil(s) and starbuck's husband dude. It's barely cohesive as a narrative (even for BSG) and it really plays like a collection of cut and extended scenes. Some nice new scenes of the initial attack on the colonies though.
