  1. Depends. I think the brother cavil stuff can enhance the last episode if you see it before hand but if not, watch it after.
  2. Yeah, I agree, a lot of that stuff plays out a lot better when it's mysterious and really plays around with the idea of just what the cylons are and what the true nature of Head Six is. Revealing it all is a bit like finding out the wizard is just an old man behind the curtain.
  3. A few boxes contain a golden ticket and entitles the holder to a tour of the factories in China with Kawamori as the host.
  4. If you stay up at night wondering what happened to the six that implicated baltar in season 1, who caprica six was talking to on caprica after she killed the baby, stuff like that, then there's enough in The Plan to keep you happy. It basically plays as a loose series of cut and extended seasons through the first few seasons loosely tied together by a character study on brother cavil.
  5. actually that's just the way "racing blue" looks, has little sparkley bits in the paint. but yeah, I need to redo some stuff like the red on the waist and the clear coat it.
  6. Thanks! I repainted it... I toned the color scheme down, navy blue with "racing blue" for the accents and light grey for the white.
  7. And maybe there's a third layer that's the same as the first... like pie.
  8. oh wow, congrats!
  9. Well, finished the suit, haven't done Raiser or the weapons yet though still needs some touch up painting and to be finished up though
  10. ooh, awesome. love the anime
  11. Yeah, the shoulder data band cover is a lame design. The shoulder armor actually hits the edge of it so when you lift up the shoulder armor to get to the lock there's a good chance you'll pop that little cover off too. And I don't mind the other locks, but the shoulder lock sucks. Having to move the drives out of the way and then swing the shoulder around just to pose it is a stupid design decision. And why are some locks on the outside and some on the inside, it's just needlessly confusing. I agree about the locks in general. If they were going to do that they should have made the teeth of metal instead of this ridiculously brittle plastic. Speaking of metal, I wish the center body ring were metal too, it's the least they could have done after going CHEAP and using plastic instead of metal for the hip joints. I sent HLJ a parts request for the hand runner, hopefully they can fill it for me, otherwise I'm going to have to ask my friend in tokyo to check out that one store and see if there's parts there. It really doesn't matter to me that the detailing isn't right, I'll take the Strike hand over the 00 hand. I like the kit, only because I like the way the naked 00 looks but I'm not thrilled with how feature poor the suit is and the overall quality and materials choices of the kit.
  12. Not quite, some of the C-clamps cracked as well. One of them hold the rear knee plate and I actually had to drill the clamp and use a thin wire to wrap pin to the clamp to hold it together. I can't help but feel that Bandai has really lost a step or two.
  13. sad, my PG 00 kit has some bad plastic. The plastic for some of the hand runner is amazingly brittle. Had to glue a finger together since it just started cracking and falling apart.
  14. escaping the confines of gravity isn't the same thing as manipulating gravity.
  15. No, yamato only took a limited number of orders for them, like a 1000 or something and they sold that out a few days before the cut off date.
  16. yeah, watch the extended versions of all the episodes. There's lots of character stuff that gets cut
  17. more than a good chance. Let's just say you'll be thankful for bill's model ship.
  18. lol, different people have different levels of disposable income. Why crap on people just because they're better off than you?
  19. the sdf-1 sold out before the cut off date. It sold just fine.
  20. the difference is that tom, brad, angelina, whoever, only play 1 character in their vehicle. Eliza is fine as Eliza, it's when she's trying to be eliza being someone else that she runs into trouble. I find the more recent episodes where she basically is just playing Echo to be far more enjoyable than the season 1 episodes where she was playing a proper Doll and imprinted with a different personality. Especially when she's acting in the same scene with Victor or Sierra who are also playing imprinted Actives but doing it in a much more convincing manner.
  21. saw it, stand by my "dances with wolves in space" comment but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  22. wait, did you just review a toy that hasn't come out yet?
  23. right, that's why gundams used beam sabers, since the only inertia you have to overcome is the hilt. But with those big solid swords, usually you see the gundams accelerating it like a giant impaling weapon rather than swinging it around like a proper sword. Or if they do swing it, it's just giant hacking swings, very little finesse.
  24. Hey, I'm just clarifying your statement that in space there's no mass/weight so having a giant sword wouldn't be a problem.
