Yeah... there's a difference between 6 years later and 6 months later. And then there's the fact that even the 1/60 yf-19 is flawed, it was still cutting edge for its time while the vf-25 looked and felt like a toy that was designed pre-CAD and then made out of plastic that had been recycled one too many times and put together by excited monkeys.
-
maybe... but if yamato had the license they would cost 300 dollars anyways and we'd only get 2 a year.
-
if this is the same story, I remember it being because this certain someone couldn't figure out how to transform his 1/60 yf-21 properly, got frustrated, and threw it against a wall... I think it spoke more of what type of person he is than the quality of the toy, imo.

The 29, F and S all went by in the usual way, I placed all of my pre-orders for them in the afternoon, after I had a chance to think about whether or not I wanted them.

In HLJ I trust.

No. it's not a reinvention. It still takes place in the same universe -

I don't think it's a different timeline -
At least if HLJ cancels on me, I won't be stuck holding the bag on paypal fees and having to eat the difference on currency fluctuations in the 4 months that some guy in hong kong was sitting on my money.

just got back from watching it... I liked it. some very interesting ideas and gorgeous shots... a very interesting take and I'm keen to see where it will lead to. -
yeah, it's not really about the money for me. I just don't think I should be paying scalper prices on a pre-order.
-
yeah... my wife went from being amused to slightly annoyed... she's going to be right pissed if this situation doesn't work itself out. Whether I get one or not... at this point, I would just like to know. I wish HLJ and the other stores would just do a lottery so we don't have to waste our time with this bullshit.

From what I've been told, that's the only expression fem-keanu Stewart has.

to each their own. I like HLJ because even though their CSR's are condescending a-holes, their return/exchange policy is the best I've seen in the toy world.
-
yeah, it seems they're pretty legit with a few people complaining about them. Oh well, help me HLJ, you're my only hope.
-
Nope, I was looking up reviews to see if the site was legit and debating the price and by the time I decided to buy it, it was gone.

why change awesome?

otacute is sold out now

if you got it through HLJ, give them a shout, they'll replace it if they can and give you a refund if they can't.

I have to say, I love it! It reminds me of those fan posters where some guy goes and draws every robot from the 80's or whatever in a giant class picture. -
