  1. no, it continues the main continuity
  2. but this game takes place after the destruction of the romulan homeworld
  3. I'm playing the open beta as well. I have to say I'm pretty ambivalent about it. I like the ship to ship encounters but the away missions just suck and it's not because that code is still buggy. I doubt I'll be paying to keep playing and there's no way I'll be buying either the 1 year or lifetime memberships
  4. Right, even though their time of creation isn't stated, they're not spirits of the dead as in Christian mythology, the spirits of the dead do not come back but lie in rest until the Judgement day (spirits claiming to be returning loved ones can be assumed to be lying demons). The theology of Angels coming down to wipe out humanity is a little suspect though. In Corinthians it states that we (I suppose Christians) are supposed to judge Angels.
  5. I'm sure he noticed that thread and the other thread about it, and the poll about it and that one big pinned thread about it... so it's obvious to everyone else that what he really wanted was some levity.
  6. sure, but the movie seems to be using Christian mythology and I'm just saying there's a loose theological basis for having Angles susceptible to physical weapons.
  7. The sprue marks aren't as noticeable on the lighter colored destroids and yamato usually does a decent job with the sprues by hiding them but I have noticed that on wonky surfaces the cuts are bad. The yf-21 has hideous sprue marks on the lower leg (right above the rear ankle cuff) but it's hidden by the paint job.
  8. The Bible and the Torah have numerous instances of angels interacting on the physical plane. Jacob wrestles with one, angels are supposed to have mated with humans giving rise to the nephilim, when Satan tempts Jesus he tells Jesus to throw himself down so that the angels will carry him off to safety. So angels can exist on the physical plane and seem to do so when interacting directly with humans.
  9. YOU LIE! Obviously you're a yamato shill!
  10. Well, you're not going to see a mass produced toy that has sanded parts. Short of using a water knife or someone switching out or sharpening the cutting surfaces every half dozen cuts, you'll never have a mechanical system sharp enough to minimize sprue marks in the way you're suggesting. And just for kicks, I looked at my takara transformers, MP, binaltechs and alternity and they all have sprue marks. Several of the binaltechs have rather hideous gouges from where the sprue was obviously snapped off instead of cut off.
  11. there you go, thread closed and pinned.
  12. we should just have a pinned thread with every yamato toy produced with their known issues
  13. What do you see Starbuck? Nothing but the c*ck Grab your gun and bring the cat in. Aye-aye, sir.
  14. all plastic discolors when you cut or stress it.
  15. I think it looks more like bay starscream
  16. my copy of the milia is fine
  17. I agree. In terms of game performance, you're gonna get a lot more mileage out of a high end video card than you will with a top of the line CPU
  18. Hah! I haven't played Bayonetta and will probably pass on Dante's Inferno as well. I generally avoid this genre but the idea of playing as a hulking pissed off Link was just too good to pass up. Will definitely be playing ME2, have it on pre-order with Amazon.
  19. haha, my wife was looking at that astro/dx comparison picture and she couldn't tell which was the knock off.
  20. finished Darksiders. Liked the game, a fun button masher though the end boss is a bit of a let down.
  21. hahaha, it has a giant UN Spacey kite emblem on the back.
  22. you don't *have* to..
  23. See, that's funny, because the complaints you have about the use of CGI now is EXACTLY the same complaints leveled against The Thing when it came out, gore for gore sake, over use of special effects.
