Well, graduated up to a proper cruiser, the NCC-92708 Fountain Valley, and mothballed the trusty Qwib-Qwib. Having two disrupter turret banks makes up for the fact that she turns like a beached whale. We should form our own MW fleet

What are the words you don't want to hear in a sci-fi show?
eugimon replied to Wanzerfan's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
close, but if that were really CSI, they would have made a 3D holographic computer model of the assailant and gotten an exact match on his face, even though it's obscured by his hand. -

"can you zoom in on that?" followed by a flurry of typing and then a low res security camera picture suddenly resolves into a crystal clear blow up of suspect, item, whatever. -
I REALLY wish you could mix and match the DLC armor with the in-game armor. And yes, helmets should automatically come off during conversations.

So, for those of you who successfully pursued a relationship, did your shep stop to look at the picture of your significant other from ME1 in the captain's cabin before the final mission?

Science and Technology MEGA THREAD
eugimon replied to Max Jenius's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, fucking wonderful. Lets bail out the automakers and banks but gut NASA. I was planning on a trip out to go see shuttle launch so my son could see it in person, now it's a definite thing. -
That's what I was thinking as well, I was just too lazy to write it all out like that.

Well, I'm happy to report that the team did a great job polishing up the game and getting it ready for prime time. There's some new explosion animations, sound effects, textures galore, missions are spruced up with more variety of opponents including science vessels. The game seems easier though. I haven't had my starter ship blow up once and I'm lvl 6 now. During the beta I think I blew up several dozen times by this point.

I think the Wrex/krogan storyline is going to have a big pay off in the 3rd game.

honestly, I don't miss the old weapon and inventory system/loot system. by the end of the game I was spending way too much time selling or turning junk into omni gel, long after I had maxed out both money and gel. I like just knowing I have the strongest weapon possible and switching between ammo types I found to be much more interesting than comparing stats and deciding between more rounds versus accuracy, etc.

China considers Taiwan a rogue province... then there's that anti-secession law and the use of force to maintain their "one china" policy. They may not be actively at war but they're hardly on cordial terms and the threat of violence is there.

I gotta agree with Jenius. I liked District 9 but the movie has serious plot holes and all the talk about how its message is subtler compared to Avatar's... riiiiiiiiight....

yeah, I'm surprised at how short this game is in comparison to the first one. Of course, a lot of that time logged in ME1 was transit time (either in buggy or walking ever so slowly)

That's my point. When ME was released there was howls of outrage from dice fans who insist that an RPG can only be an rpg if the combat is decided by dice (real or virtual) and that actions should be queued up and combatants stand around waiting for the their turn to do something. these guys insisted back then and continue to insist that ME is not an RPG
