  1. Don't you know that Delvians make for the best painters?
  2. okay, little pilot, sculpted cockpit and clear canopy are websclusives and to get them you need need to verify you live in Japan and it's only 1 per household. and you need to send in a pinkie, left or right hand, your choice. PANIC and RAGE!!!
  3. Never underestimate Yamato.
  4. they don't look like pegs to me either, maybe they made it so there's magnets to hold it in place.
  5. on, the other hand, the shuttle cockpit isn't as craptastic as the yammie one, so... there's that.
  6. looks pretty good, still not thrilled with the feet but it's a pretty minor nitpick, like the yammie's weird neck thing
  7. wow, looks fantastic, can't wait to see your kitbash miriya!
  8. the arms are easy to fix, just take apart and coat with nail polish. But they're 100% friction joints so eventually you'll have to do it again. Honestly, I would say wait for the Bandai version. It looks like it has way more detailing and even if it ends up as floppy as the yammie, at least it will look better and has all that tampo on it. Oh yeah, the yammie has very little in the way of sculpted details and no paint or tampo applications. To borrow from the collectionDX Quarter review, it's total fail.
  9. I'm not an ass to everyone, just to you trolls. Back on topic, I agree with Jenius on the cruiser floppy thing. The design itself really doesn't have any support in that mode. Without some sort of locking joints that mode wouldn't hold together in that size no matter what.
  10. Personally, I hate it. Gerwalk mode is okay but it really has next to no posability, the panels on the upper legs don't go anywhere, you just sort of prop them up against an indent on the lower legs and the whole thing just kind sits there. The nose cone doesn't lock in place so it's constantly flopping down and out of the box the joints in the arms weren't tight enough so the whole arm just hung there limply. In shuttle mode the leg/wings don't sit flush against the body because of the way the hip joint was designed. And battroid... And then the whole thing pegs together and you'll see stress marks on some of the pegs pretty much after your first transformation.
  11. I dunno, but he brings up the 200$ price point over and over again in his review. I think *macross* only fans have a much higher tolerance for high price points than general mecha fans because we're used to Yamato's prices. And for old timers, even those prices seem affordable because they were collecting the vintage chunkies for a grand a pop. What's wrong, couldn't understand the review? Does google not have a free english to troll translator plugin for chrome yet?
  12. yup, looking good, looks like they solved all the leg/wing panels a lot better than yamato did.
  13. excuses. psh. See, soft at 1.4, that's why you shoulda gotten a sigma 50mm HSM. Congrats on the new house though, that's pretty awesome. You'll have to take a few shots once you get your stuff out and displayed.
  14. I dunno, floppy, poor joint type selection and placement, lack of finish associated with high end toy, they seem like valid complaints to me, keep in mind he paid full price and not the 140$ a lot of you paid who picked it up either on clearance or pre-order discount.
  15. dude. awesome... shoes... yeah. WTF MAN? VALKYRIES VALKYRIES! that is all. looks nice, a little soft but digging the creamy bokeh, makes the background look painterly and really pops the shoes out, nice.
  16. wow, the comments are.. uhm.. they make us look all tame and even headed. thanks for the fun read.
  17. Well, my last toy for a good long while just shipped from HLJ, the weathered 1/60 vf-1s. Took advantage of their shipping promotion.
  18. you can also fix your exploding cancer causing shoulders with common household objects. But whatever, yes, all yamato shoulders explode and kill small woodland creatures and when children eat the bits and pieces it causes autism and at night your yamato toys conspire to form an army of one armed mechs and form death panels where they hold down Bandai's and chip the paint off of them.
  19. I'm sure there's got to be some big insect looking toy out there that can be spray painted red, stick on an Eva unit 02 head and you're good to go.
  20. riiiight. Hey, if you want to be willfully ignorant, go on and be but this conversation has nothing to do with the thread topic.
  21. meh, I didn't have an HD anything until a couple years ago, I can go back to a lower res screen for good 3D for stuff like games. 3D for a shooter (where crap is moving so fast anyways) would be fun. Granted, I'm not going to pay more for it though.
  22. neat, will wait for something with more cheese.
  23. Does it sound like does?
  24. Don't ask questions like that here, here we make gross assumptions on pricing structures based on transformers and legos versus valkyries.
