Yes, and I think yamato missed their chance with the weathered vf-1s, that should have been the TV version

folk here got incensed when yamato released the hikaru 1s instead of including a 1s head in with the 1a release, outraged posts about being ripped off and milking. I can't wait to see what sort of entitled fury a TV roy vf-1s would bring, especially if it ends up being just a tv pilot and the head arrow repaint. true.

actually, people have wanted a low viz vf-1s scheme ever since yamato started doing low viz paint schemes.

spirits was crap because they relied too heavily on motion capture and the hand animated stuff was so jarringly wooden and stiff, not because it was ahead of its time. It focused on the design and relied too heavily on only one animation technique. I think Spirits would still have bombed if it was released today. It's animation is just sub par.

actually, I don't know what you're getting at, I have the original ivanov release and it's fine other than the missiles didn't stay lock on well, but at least those missiles weren't websclusives.

And yet the sv-51 has been out for years and we have less reports of problems with it than we do with the DX. The DX having a potentially much more severe issue. What's sad is if bandai hadn't broken the actual transformation on the 25 when they designed the DX we wouldn't have the stress crack issue on the back plate when in fighter mode with the armor on.

the sv-51 has a much more complex transformation with more little moving parts and it holds up just fine.

look at the left hand side of the panel, the poster on the building and then there's the graphic on the building in the middle.

Me too... But if it makes you feel better, places like Amazon.com have high user reviews for so it looks like the chances of getting a good copy is pretty good. if you get one that works, the sigma. Sharper at f1.4 and has a much creamier bokeh, especially when dealing with pin point lights like traffic lights or christmas lights. I've read lots of reviews on them and most people have had good luck with getting one that focuses consistently but Sigma as a brand is known inconsistent focusing.

I got my nikkor 12-24mm f/4 on ebay for less than 600 so there are bargains out there.

It's still a crap movie but you don't need to make up sh1t to sell us on the movie's crappiness.
