yeah, the movie contradicts itself pretty directly with how it handles old Joe and old Seth... time travel is just the gimmick to tell the story.

wait... what? You'll need to explain this one to me

Dredd 3D - in theaters Sept. 21, 2012
eugimon replied to Zor Primus's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I thought it was okay. I thought it was a victim of being over-hyped by fans and under marketed by the studios. -
I would have liked a wing brace as well. One side holds just fine but the other side was floppy before the armor and all that weight just makes it even worse (perhaps this was done on purpose as an homage to the v.1 vf-25POS )

Nope... And I even fiddled with that intake armor piece putting it on and haven't ha a problem

THE GUNPOD ISN'T SUPPOSED TO EXTEND PAST THE FRONT LANDING GEAR!!!!! Seriously though, the gunpod isn't as long as the 27's gunpod, it shouldn't be a problem.

rats will practice cannibalism and I'm sure there were plenty of bugs on board. I doubt a bunch of red neck space jockies on board a space tug boat would be particularly worried about cleanliness. -
dude. that looks drop dead sexy.

Brilliant pics as always!

lol, well... if you're gonna poop all over a show because of questionable physics... stay away from star trek, star wars, x-men, avengers, batman, superman, ET, you know, any work of fiction in the past 6000 years or so.

the discovery channel has a show about mega natural disasters and one of the episodes is about a massive solar storm that fries all the electronics. If the storm were big enough then all the transformers would blow and if that happened, it would take years, if not decades to restore power on a global scale because there's only a few factories that produce them and you would need thousands of them. It's not a stretch to say that during the black out phase that governments fell and anarchy and tribalism took over. I dunno... I think it's funny that people who like a show that's about a pop song ending a space war featuring giant humanoid aliens that pilot giant eggs with chicken legs and planes that turn into robots find a show about a global perpetual blackout to be too high concept.

I think it looks like it will be fun. I'll happily watch all 5 episodes before it gets cancelled.

psh, my friend and I would make cheap korean gundam models by the dozens and have giant wars with them that involved firecrackers, soldering irons, home-made nail guns and any other instruments of destruction and mayhem we could imagine... oh wait, no.. you're right.

DYRL BD Remaster - the Good.......and the BAD.
eugimon replied to SCOOPUDA!'s topic in Movies and TV Series
thanks that's good to know. So unless they can find the original plates and reshoot 3/4 of the movie, DYRL will never have a proper HD transfer. That's pretty sad. -

http://xmenfilms.wordpress.com/2011/05/27/matthew-vaughn-calls-x-men-first-class-a-mixture-of-prequel-and-reboot/ No, mathew vaughn says definitively that it is not a true prequel but a mixture of a prequel and a reboot.- 329 replies

DYRL BD Remaster - the Good.......and the BAD.
eugimon replied to SCOOPUDA!'s topic in Movies and TV Series
just got my copy and watched the opening sequence... video 2/5. Holy crap it's inconsistent. From blurry to razor sharp every other scene. It's jarring and frequent. Some shots look like it was done on purpose as one thing will be in focus and other stuff won't be but it's doesn't make any sort of sense as to what is and what's not. If it were done on purpose you would expect the main subject to be in focus, like... hikaru's face. But there will be a scene and hikaru's face will be blurry while his hand will be in focus. Then it will switch to whatever and switch back and now the entire scene is razor sharp. There's lots of screen jitter as well from the minute inconsistencies of where the original plates were in relation to the fixed camera. Unfortunately, a lot of these soft scenes are iconic moments, like when max pulls the zentradi pilot out and shoots him in the face . audio 3/5 The remixed track is pretty good. The LFE track is robust but honestly, there's a lot of sounds that were just recorded poorly originally and there's not much to be done about it. Most of the audio is still front and center and they really didn't utilize the surrounds effectively. A decent job but not great. Overall... it's better than before but it pales compare to the sort of restoration and update jobs that Disney gives the Studio Ghibli movies. I wouldn't say I'm happy with it and certainly not for what I paid for it... like I said, compared to the restorations that other movies have received, this one is sadly lacking and the jarring frequencies of the inconsistent IQ makes it really hard for me get lost in the movie. Would I recommend it? Do you LOVE DYRL? If yes, then yeah... go for it. It's better than ever. But if you're just a casual fan or if poor IQ really gets to you... I have a really hard time recommending this. -

yeah but in x-men last stand, we see charles and eric going to recruit Jean Grey and charles was walking. Emma Frost is seen in Wolverine and she's young, not a 70 year old, Hank (beast) is seen in x-men 2 as a human and then as a furball in last stand but he's already mutated by the end of first class. I think I recall it being said that first class was intended to be a proper prequel but at some point they decided they wouldn't sacrifice the story in order to maintain continuity.- 329 replies

new story. There are way too many continuity changes for it to be a direct prequel to the original three.- 329 replies
