  1. https://www.geico.com/getaquote/collectibles/ Geico does collectibles insurance. They ran some commercials on it recently. Anything over 2k seems to be the limit to get insurance for these special policies. http://collectinsure.com/
  2. With discounts and a weak Yen - I'm seeing $250 ish - which is about where the 0's were around the great Yamato crash of 2010.
  3. I'm not going to spend $250 bucks to take one for the team, no. If you want that much cash you need to produce a killer product like Sentinel has been doing. If you can't be bothered to make it right, don't do it.
  4. Head sculpt on this guy is one of the most impressive in recent memory.
  5. Did a quick add-up, factoring in distributed shipping to the price of each piece and I've probably spent close to $4,600 including shipping/stands/extras. That's for 16 VF-1's, 4 Destroids, 1 1/48, 1 vf-25, and 2 VF-11's. Paid pretty close to MSRP or market value for all but the Super Ostrich and the Super Milia. BUT, I've also gotten some pretty amazing deals, like a Super Hik for $50 bucks, so it helps distribute the price of more expensive buys. I'd like to go back and check all my figures in my emails at some point as I did it all off memory, but it should be fairly accurate. Personally I think this is a healthy thread to have. Everybody should take stock of costs and evaluate their spending habits. I'm def. to a point where my Toy Collecting spending is on the back burner. Instead of spending 400-500 a month I'm only spending that about every 3 months - and I pretty much have my macross collection where I want it with space for a few new releases a year. I love buying, selling, collecting, reviewing, searching, and discussing. It's a very active hobby for me, and I'm pretty confident if I had to cash it all in right now - I'd make a decent profit. You should def. be comfortable with your Hobby.
  6. Better angle.
  7. Maybe. Idk, the way I have him posed it's staying still. Would be nice to have but 20-25 bucks with shipping is a lot.
  8. I'll be keen to see the development
  9. Big lot... like you're gonna sell? or big lot like you're going to take it outside and photo it?
  10. I think there is plenty of room for development both in this version of Megatron and Quakewave. Both are great figures but I still think Takara could knock it out if they get a developer who is committed to it.
  11. Best as in most interesting? Probably Hannibal Lector, hands down.
  12. I don't have cable. I did stream a ton of College Basketball games in March though. They played a few and I just muted the sound. crap is insidious. Between that and Hot Toys shooting their load at every turn haha I should be ok as I don't watch much of anything live after College balls stops.
  13. They should reach out to Miki and get him to do the box art combo with a special comic. I've said this before elsewhere but it seems like a perfect synergy for a high-end company. People would crap and they could make them made to order.
  14. Try to do your best to avoid trailers and it's all over TV. They've pretty much shown the entire movie haha
  15. Big pass. No way I'd pay that much for a model kit
  16. Doesn't evolution do those Magnet gokins? I wonder if it's really a transformer? I bet you just pull things apart and slap them together with magnets! haha.
  17. I'm down if it's in scale. Love the design. Hell, I'd buy it just to pop the head on a yamato
  18. Your back window on exhaust is loose?
  19. Cant wait!
