I'm into the original diaclone faceplate. Don't really care about the "sex" of robots as I don't think they have sex anyway? Idk. A red version for alt mode will be sexy.- 16946 replies

It's an "alloy color" version of the old one. I think it's going to be more gunmetal grey, as the first one is the blue and orange.

Holy crap? Re-doing it? I was just thinking there isn't an SOC i really care about but I'd be down for this.

I think they are def. worth the money, though I never paid more than about $130 for any of mine. They really spice up a display and have great features. Pilots, switchable parts, diecast feet bits, and other cool gimmicks. Sadly they never got around to the phalanx or the Spartan, the Spartan being my biggest dream toy. The only real downside to them is that the waist swivel tends to be a bit loose but that's easy to fix, or ignore. They did 3 Tomhawks (Tan, Green, Weathered) 3 Defenders (Tan, Green, Weathered) And around that time they had money problems and cut the line. I think Jenius has mentioned they worked up model kits for the Phalanx. The green Defender is fairly rare.

Thanks bud. It's a testament to how great Yamato nailed proportions on these guys

So, haven't posted in this thread before, though about just putting it in the collection display thread, but I think this is a better fit. I tried my best to recreate this rather imposing Destroid Tomhawk stance, as it's one of my favorites. Also, destroid are awesome. I changed a few things; I like the missile bays being open, and I really like the look of the shoulder missiles beginning to open. I also swung the arm out a bit more for perspective from my couch

The fighter mode is growing on me. But not 500-800 bucks worth. It's the worst batroid mode ever devised though. After Arcadia announced the VF-1 reissues you could grab a few for less than 400 on Man, but those days are gone as the panic prices are almost back. If Arcadia makes a new one I'd pick it up just for fighter.

Buying is a rush. Selling is also a rush for me. But enjoying your collection on display is a full time job

Do any of the VF-0's have dishes? like the Elint?

They usually put up more stock as people who order multiples cancel orders. I think they wait until a certain amount is restocked before they open it.

Bad QA does not equal a bad design. The 1/72's were still a step up from the chunky monkeys of their day. They were closer to the line art, had better transformation, and just looked better. They also happened to have bad QA. This release may have bad QA as well, but the design is still poorly proportioned and underdeveloped. I'm not sure what's so nonsensical about understanding that...

The price is probably the extra wing bits, wing size, extra pilot, and longer nosecone. I guess.

At the time it wasn't a bad effort. This - in this time - isn't a great effort.
