    Not a tone of Tampo or detail really. The head looks weird for some reason.

    In the case of Arcadia re-issues vs Older Yamato's it's because the Arcadia releases usually have less tampo, and/or different plastic covers. People have pretty much decided that certain late era yamato releases are the "best" version since it has everything a collector wants. I don't know of any newer versions that are worth more - unless you're talking about the V2 vs the V1, where it's just a better piece overall.

    I agree. Nah, it's not creating any market. There have always been Macross toys this size/price range, it's nothing new. Some people just prefer smaller toys, some people buy everything. I just like VF-1 toys - that's the only rational I need for getting one. Also if it's pretty much the same as the previous Bandai Hi-Metal VF-1, it should be a really excellent toy. I do not agree. I think VF-zer0s post there backs up my postion. Most People don't have unlimited money to spend on toys. Lots of buyers who would save up for the 1/60 will ponder going for a cheaper option. There hasn't been since the Hi-metal line stopped putting stuff out... whenever that was? 2009 or 2010? Some people do buy from multiple lines and companies for sure, but competition is competition.

    I couldn't believe how complex the transformation was for the fire valk in Jenius review. Seems like a mess for such a small toy. But yes, basically this is there to create a middle market - people who might not have the cash for the Arcadia release, or people who see a simliar toy for cheaper and don't care about scale, or people who are just confused.

    I'd say anything under $400 is below the going low-end market rate, so definitely a steal haha. Anything over $600 or so and you're probably getting hosed a bit. I think Arcadia is pretty sloppy at business if they DON'T release a VF-4. It shows they don't keep up with the aftermarket, and they aren't trying to compete in spaces that Bandai can't flex it's muscles. Bandai isn't going to whip out a VF-4 Hi metal because they would have to make a whole new mold. Their current hi-j whatever seems like a resurrection just to steal dollars from Arcadia releases. Anyway, prices like that SHOULD command re-issues because it means people want it and don't have it.

    Man, they are really going for Arcadia's throat. But yeah, easy pass for me. Not collecting another smaller line.... except for spartan. haha Won't be amazed if we never see another VF-1 from Arcadia haha

    The re-issue of God Mars wasn't impossible to find, but it sold fast. I think BBTS and Toysource will get some for sure.

    That's the best thing about the repaints, you get all the spare parts to complete or enhance the original. Big selling point IMO.
