Anime for adults = porn. Macross +/0 is aimed at a more mature but young audience (junior high/high school). But at the same time, SDFM and M7 are for a audience younger than that (elementary/junior high) Same with Patlabor and Wings of Honneamise. It's still for kids. It happens to be targetted at old kids (junior high/high school), but still kids. I think there is anime for kids and anime for adult people. That's the difference between cartoons and anime. That's a difference between occidental animation (general) and anime. Just to mention an example: The Wings of Honneamise movie, this is an animation aimed for grow up people, Macross, Patlabor and others are for more mature people too. If you talk about Sailor Moon (i saw it, and I like it ) or Sakura Card Captor (same as SM), Dragon Ball and all the Pokemon style "animes" out there those are kids aimed animes. But, the main thing here is, if you liked, why you need to think if other do too, just be your self and let the others do what they want.

Uh, and how is Mylene able to do the song energy stuff then? Or is it supposed to be her Zentradi/Maltrandi blood? And her sister could do it too... I kind of got the impression that ANYONE could use singing that way if they had high spiritia or whatever. Mylene was never able to keep up with Basara in power. Besides, all life is able to create spiritia (including anima spiritia), it just so happened that Basara was considerably stronger than everyone else.\ Macross was never just about that. It was more directly about the emotions of one person being able to reach out & touch others to change the tide of war, which it remains to be today. Ok, I know Macross is not only mechas, I know the music is very important in Macross, I know the relationships are very important in Macross too. I think those are the most important topics of the entire Macross Saga. Macross Zero dons't have any conections (at least too few) with the other Macross series, the music does not have a very important part until the last episode. You never saw the big ship (Macross), you never saw the Macross Island, you never heard about alien races, you never saw a love trioangle. I think this is the first Macross series witout a soundtrack becaouse the entire series only have like 3 songs. I like Macross Zero , the animation was great, the history was good, good mechas, great sound. But I think this series (ova) dosn't have the same Macross topics as Macross Plus or even Macross 2, I believe Macross 7 isn't Macross at all, just because you have mechas and someone singing isn't Macross. Please don't begin with the "who has more power?, this or that". First of all Basara was a looser, the entire Macross 7 series was a bad idea, how you will flight a Valkyrie playing a guitar and singing, please... You have characters like Max Genius, that was a great fighter pilot, how you can compare Basara with Max, or even Isamu. Conclusions: Macross Zero was good, but the entire potencial not was developed very good. Macross 7 socks!!!!!!!!!! Macross Plus was very Macross in most of the topics. Macross II, well have his ups and downs Macross TV and Macross DYRL are MACROSS

I like the action scenes, i think the scenes are great. The only think i think this series mising is the music. You know, Macross is about action scenes, love triangules, mechas and music. The original series have great music, DYRL have great music too, M+ too, even M7 have music as a central part of the history. Maross Zero don't have any music at all. Thats my opinion!! There's a couple songs I really, really like in the series, but not many. Music doesn't seem nearly as central to this series as any of the others. Thats what I mean!!

Thanks for the welcome!!!! Just to let you know, I don't like Macross 7, i think Dynamite is bether but all that singing pilots is trash!!. I like Macross II, the music is good (the main theme is great ), good characters, well the mecha (+ or -) and overall I like the movie. Is just my opinion

I'm a Macross Fan, I saw almost everything of Macross (Macross TV Sereis, Macross DYRL, Macross FlashBack 2012, MAcross II Lovers Againg, MAcross Plus, Macross 7, MAcross Zero (3 episodes)). But I don't understand why Macross II is out of all comments, I want to know why there are't toys of MAcross II, why the people dislike Macross II, just a question, thats all I like the movie, and i like the characters, don't like the valkyries, but well... I want to hear some comments about Macross II Thanks!

HI! I have some money right now and I want to spend it in a Macross/Robotech toy. Here in Costa Rica we don't have a lot of choices of Macross/Robotech toys, I found a Robotech Masterpiece Volumen 3 Roy's VF-1S and a Yamato Macross DYRL 1/60 VF-1A Valkirie Max type. I want to know wish of these 2 toys is bether? thanks
