I want pics of the Strike/Super !!!!
-
Well, almost 2,5 years later I have the time to update these topic. First of all, these "project" change a lot from the initial idea, I start with 1 model, Miria's Super Valkyrie, and it's almost finish with 3 models kits, Hikaru's Super TV version and Kakizaki's VF-1A. Well finish one model is hard, try to build 3 hasegawa's Valks is just very time consuming je je je, and if you add your first child and the build of your new house, well ... The pictures are not of a good quality, need to take these pics at night, so the lighting is just bad, sorry and I will try to take better pics soon. The pics: The idea is to build the main characters Valkyries, TV version. These are Hikaru's VF-1J Battroid, Hikaru/Roy VF-1S Super Valk, Max VF-1J Super Battroid, Miria's VF-1J Super Valk and Kakizaki VF-1A, these last 2 still need some work. Hope you like it.

Duymon, I agree with you about the Strike, always in fligt mode, but I never sawa picture a Club-M 1/48 valk is flight mode, all the pics I saw have landing gear , and for my test is to tall, both main and front landing gear, just my opion. Cool8or: I really can't wait for your step by step build!!! BTW I alrady pre-order 1 and 1 VF-25 too , will be a very nice XMas!! I have curious to know how Hasegawa will perform the build of missile launches, it will make such Yamato / Clum-M with full detail or will be to build on the 1/72, I hope it guy like Yamato

At last!!!! IMHO the Club-M is a very nice kit (expensive too), but I don't like at all the landing gear

he is not wrong. All the MW modelers told you in these same threat that these bandai release will be bad, but a lot of people brought it and now are complaining. -
well, indeed the noose looks a little off, lets wait until the final product. Hope Hasegawa don't make the same mistakes than Bandai did with the vf-1 !!!!

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
joscasle replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
well ... to many people in these thread saw these shortcomings since 2 months ago or more, since the first cad. First, these is a "model kit" and not a toy, so, a lot of difference between a Yamato and these kit. Next is Bandai treatment to real model kits in general, they almost always fail, bandai cosmo zero alpha are vey good kits, so they can be good when they want, Gundam kits are different than a real model kits so don't count, and all of us need to remember the VF-25, was good only if don't transform, so why these one will be different? -

Mr. Cheng you are totally right!!!! These is a model kit NOT a toy, that's why at least for me is not a good representation of any of the 3 modes. I still don't know why so many people compere these Bandai release with Yamato. Compare yamato with the new Arcadia!! -

Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
joscasle replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
The nose is totally wrong, shape, size (too short for a fighter or gerwalk), etc, etc, etc About the durability, It's a Model Kit, not a toy, I have like 80 or more model kits, they are dissing for display, toys like Yamato (expensive ones) were dissing to be "playable", so you can manipulate the toy and have some interaction with it. I know model kits were toys but that's not the case these days, no one, play with model kits, because the small parts, they are fragile, etc. So you can't ask for durability IMHO Seriously, I'm not against these new Bandai VF-1, its just I don't get the idea of a new 1/72 VF-1, with Hasegawa having a great line of fighter/battroid VF-1 in the same scale. Gerwalk was so forgiven, why not a new and good non transformable model kit of a VF-1 in gerwalk mode???? -

Why you compare these bandai with yamato,?? these is a model kit, Yamato's are toys IMHO. You can compare these bandai with Hasegawa or ARII but no with Yamato, totally different. For me these Bandai VF-1 is terrible, the nose is really bad (shape and size), wing size are too big in Battroid and too short in fighter, Gerwalk dosn't look good, so what's the point, the arms and legs are off in fighter mode, etc etc etc... Well is just mi opinion, I know a lot of people don't agree with me. -

Mr. Cheng totally agree with you. I don't even like how it looks in gerwalk mode -
Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
joscasle replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
For me at least the Studio Halfeye Macross kits are the same with these Bandai option. If you want to transform, buy yamato, if you want a model kit, well buy hasegawa or bandai if you want, but as a static model kit. Did any one build a Bnadai VF-25 and try to transform the kit? after the second time you will have a lot of scratches all around the joints, All I said is, this is some thing we modelers don't need, we need gerwalk mode model. The toys people don't need it, they have Yamato, so whats the point?? -
Bandai 1/72 fully transform able VF-1 plastic kit for Macross 30th Ann
joscasle replied to Vi-RS's topic in Model kits
mmm... looking the kit as a plamo I just think "how do I fill all the gaps and still transform this model kit?" To me its the same thing as the Vf-25, you will never transform the kit because that will ruin all the paint job, all the gap filling, all your sanding, etc, etc etc. What we really need as a modeler is a really good reprecentation of the VF-1 in gerwalk mode, but It will never trasnform. If I come to buy one of these bandai VF-1 i will build it as a Gerwalk, for sure, but it will never transform. The Hasesgawa VF-1 fighter/batroid looks a lot bether than these bandai, proportions, especially in Batroid mode, the wings are to big, arms are very thin because they need to fit in the space between the legs in fighter mode, etc. I mention these as a modeler. -

I don't hate the bandai VF-1, but I really don't like the nose, so different from the anime (to round). Just my opinion
