All we hear about are bad stuff in this section
Hurin replied to EXO's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
Uh, I'd say it's equally lame for sex, sexual "standards", and tales of "conquests" to be disussed here at all. Fanboys talking about sex on the internet (to just about any degree) is just the highest order of lame. H -

Yes. Standards. Try them. H P.S. Once again: MW=Classy P.P.S. Haterist. You don't have to mention b-jobs in every thread. -
So, fans of Penny Arcade...What is going on there?

Amen. Here's what I wrote on a similar topic on my web page. -

That was beautifully done! -
Blow Job, is a term you can say on TV, so I think you can say it here. What network have you been watching!?!

Mine bought me the 1/48 Super Max 1J. But that was almost a year ago. She needs to be re-indoctrinated. She's slipping!

I think that's all outdated. There is no more perma-death. (again, pretty sure. Not certain)

Well, Limbo, thanks for ruining the whole thread by actually doing something respectable!!! Here's my second contribution:

I'm on sunrunner.

As usual, stratics is the way to go. H

Woops, that looks outdated now that I read it. Here's another. But that too is a bit lacking. I'll post more as I find them since I'm curious too. Just getting started with SWG myself. H

IGN now has a write-up on this. H

I would set some smaller goals for yourself at first. But if you're dead-set on becoming a jedi: here you go. . .

My very being created him. He was the byproduct, or better said, the counter-balance to my unstopable awesomeness. Don't worry Prometheum, being told that you're the opposite of A1 is essentially the highest compliment (at least away from the A1 sycophants around here) . So, I embrace it. He did the same thing with Sketch. He's just recycling old material. Pay it no mind.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I think we all agree that Vader doesn't look quite right in those photos. Whether that's indicative of our own mental predisposition given the prequels so far, the person in the suit, or the fact that he's posing in new and different ways, we're not sure. But he definitly looks a little off to me. . . whether he does so in the film itself is another story. But I'm not sure how being "dropped in lava" would make him look less intimidating given that we know that the black suit that was the result makes him more intimidating in OT movies. But, regardless, this seems like a topic worthy of discussion among SW fans. If you don't think it matters, might I suggest that you not read it? Does any of this stuff "really matter?" No, but we find it interesting and fun to discuss all the same. But, then again, maybe your'e referring to something else. . . I may just be misunderstanding you. H

Rob, I dig the "Buddy Jesus" thumbs-up pose!

Please notice that they are going out of their way to point out that this is not an MMORPG. . . they are calling it a Multiplayer action game. It is largely a single-player game that apparently has its climax in a massively multiplayer environment. It looks like combat will not be "click enemy. . . wait for resolution" but will instead be actually skill/twitch-based. Now, I played about three years of Ultima Online. So I'm an MMORPG vet. . . and I can say that this has some appeal to us who have grown up and realize that there just isn't enough time in the day to give these games as much attention as they require to truly enjoy them. This mix they've come up with seem intruiging, I'll definitely keep an eye on its development. The screenshots look very cool too. H

Marketing? Aside from the "Tiny Hands" brigade, who doesn't like new Vader pics? Well, I'm not in the "tiny hands brigade". . . but I will say that (whether due to the wussification he has undergone thanks to seeing him as a tiny child. . . or something actually inherent in the photo) Vader just does not seem as imposing in those pictures. He doesn't look as tall, and just lacks the presence that he always seemed to have in earlier photos. Are they using a shorter guy for the suit (or are those actually photos of Hayden wearing it)? H

While I'm not one (through ignorance, not dislike), I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of Conan fans around here. Some of you, therefore, might find this of interest:

I'll be 31 ten days later. I found the trick to turning 30 sucessfully was to essentially feel like you were 30 since you were 28. Then it doesn't hit you as hard. H

I don't think that stickers discolor the plastic. More likely (as some have suggested) is that the uncovered/un-stickererd part is discolored, and the plastic underneath the sticker is preserved. I put some Takatoys stickers on some of my valks about two years ago. No sign of peeling, discoloration, or any other problems. There is one sticker that keeps popping up, but that's on the FAST Packs, and their uneven texture is mainly to blame for the stickers not adhering well. Good Luck! H

That seems a bit. . . dramatic? They are game stores. You can order games online, rent them at Blockbuster, or suffer a little annoyance (or $5 in increased prices). But, "nightmare?" Though, it is nice to know that theft is alright as long as the company has bad practices. For my own situation, it doesn't really matter at all to me since I'm a PC Gamer and both EBX and GStop have been giving PC games the shaft for a while now. Either way, I can only see this as being a "nightmare" if you (or a loved one) are one of those "career/management" EBX employees. Those who worked there as their after school job will get by. H

Star Trek Captain's Aside: Who had the best crew?
Hurin replied to ComicKaze's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, that's because the brotherhood of the original core cast grew organically among the characters. Whereas, in TNG, the writers consiously tried to recreate that comraderie via contrived plot devices. You'd constantly see the TNG going on camping trips, playing music together, playing a big game of cards, or just announcing to each other who was best friends with whom. . . The Original Cast didn't need to constantly impress on us that they were like that. You just sensed it. . . and therefore they didn't spend valuable minutes of Klingon ass-kicking time demonstrating their love for each other.
