  1. Sweet, thanks! Ahh, crap. Oh well, thanks for telling me...I'll stop searching the internet for that UPC now. These are the singles I'm asking about, but I don't think they're remastered. Amazon Japan Link 1 Amazon Japan Link 2 Amazon Japan Link 3
  2. Good one! I bet Ramen Bank is finished. They've been in financial hot water for some time now.
  3. At first I was worried about my stocks in Yakuza Bank dropping in value, but percentage wise, their losses are in the single digits.
  4. Hey Mercurial, is that KAA rip a DVD-quality downloadable? Also, I might be able to get the R0 version if one of you guys can get me the UPC. It's not the same as the R2 UPC is it? My only other option is to try to get the R2 used off Yahoo Japan. And I really want the remastered set. Are the single R2 discs remastered as well?
  5. Am I the only one loving the look of the gerwalk mode? The backpack shape looks perfect. Also, I posted in-scale comparison pics of fighter modes somewhere in this thread, and the nose of the 1/60 was not really any shorter than the 1/48.
  6. Dude....dude! I totally forgot about Guardian mode! I've been callinng it Gerwalk for so long now. But, looking back, Guardian does sound a little more kick-ass.
  7. While I still think there's a huge anti-Toynami bias here on Macrossworld, you guys have convinced me that there might be more truth to the Toynami Alpha bashing then I realized. I'm typically not a very lucky person, so I'm amazed that all my Alphas are fine if only 50% of them are any good. Maybe it's like the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death. I read about it online all the time, but nobody I know in real life has had the problem. But Eriku, I'm glad to hear you've gotten opinions from a variety of sites and realize not all the Alphas are bad. Also, I hope nobody thinks I'm defending Toynami's QC. Like I said before, it's bad, but I still everything with a grain of salt (especially negative views of Toynami toys on this forum).
  8. It's that high? I would have expected about 5% pass rate based on what's said here on MacrossWorld. I'd argue that you would have sent the three "questionable" Alphas back to Toynami if they were really that bad, but a 75% pass rate is still horrible. On the other hand, a 75% pass rate means that 3 out of 4 Alphas are good, which is far better than what I hear from some around these parts.
  9. I'm not saying Toynami toys don't have problems. They're just exaggerated and blown out of all proportion, while problems with, say, Yamato toys are downplayed and quickly forgiven. And for every person complaining about their Toynami Alpha, there are many, many more people who have no problems with theirs and no reason to complain. The bias is understandable, given that Toynami is associated with "homowreck" and isn't even a Japanese company.
  10. Toynami improved the old model's design quite a bit. They made the wing root flush with the top of the shoulders, made the hinges for the wings invisible, and added hinges to the vertical stabs so they could tilt outwards, among other things. Just look at this pic and tell me the Toynami doesn't look a hundred times better. The majority of reviews of Toynami toys are extremely biased. They're nowhere near as bad as you hear. All my Toynamis are all fine; no gaps or pieces falling off.
  11. You know, as much as people bash Toynami, their Alpha is one heck of a beautiful toy. It's pretty well designed, even if the QC is lacking. I know mine had no problems. Looking at the comparison pics Alpha OTS posted, the Toynami really nails the Legioss in Armo Soldier mode (not to mention Fighter mode). The CM just looks goofy in comparison. But I want to know where the heck that back shot came from, spedfish. Hell of a first post.
  12. Wow, Shun's really on top of these pics. And the CM ride armor is looking awesome. I really want this green grunt, but it's not gonna happen. Too bad.
  13. It won't change your rank or skill levels. But if you and your buddies pick a language that nobody else uses, then matchmaking will most likely hook you all up in the same games. The only problem is, your achievements will be listed in whatever language you used when you got them. You still get the points (and the sword) though. I'd also like to do some ranked Team Slayer if we could get four good players together. It might be one way to reach level 50. I'm stuck at 40 in Lone Wolves.
  14. First off, let me say that I don't care it's Yamato who makes these, as long as these toys are done right. Yamato's been pretty hit and miss in my opinion. Obviously I want all the VF's, even the Stampede Valkyrie and the Advanced Valkyries. If I had to pick one to start with, I'd want the VF-4 Lightning. Here are some really cool designs that many Macross fans forget about as potential toys. QF-3000E Ghost (the original Ghost!) SF-3A Lancer II Gnerl Fighter Pod
  15. I'll believe it when a reputable store reports having them in stock.
  16. I got an idea guys. Let's all change our languages on our Xboxes to something nobody speaks, and then go into Lone Wolves. We can get those last few achievements! All I need are Steppin' Razor and Maybe Next Time, Buddy.
  17. A 1/35 Tread would be worshipful.
  18. Yeah, I want one of those greenies too. But at a hundred pieces, it'd be a miracle to get one, even if you went to Wonderfest yourself.
  19. Hey guys, I gots a question to axe you all: Is there any way to get the original red Garland with without broken shoulders? It's my favorite version, so I'd rather get it than the brownie or the Proto Garland.
  20. So I've been noticing stuff about the Megahouse. Good stuff, it looks like. In the pictures Shun posted above, it looks like Rey's bike is leaning to the right, meaning the forearm cannon must have a good amount of clearance with the ground. I was afraid it'd scrape the ground when the armor bike leaned to the right at all. Also, in the above pictures, and others, we see the wheels at different distances from the chasis, as if the swing arms that the wheels are fixed to can be adjusted to different angles. This is good, if true, because I'd like to lower the front of the bike and lift the rear. In the CAD design, the front of the bike looks really high to me. But if the "suspension" is adjustable, no worries.
  21. Hey guys, I haven't seen Gunbuster yet (or bought the DVDs) after many years of wanting to see it, because the R1 is defiled (episode 1 music edit & cruddy audio re-encode) and the R0 was not subtitled. There's still no good solution, but I figured I might as well get the R0 and then just add subs on my own somehow. Of course, now the R0 is unavailable. I called Kinokuniya and this really cool employee is going to see if he can get an R0 for me. If that doesn't work, at least I can get the R1, flawed as it is, relatively cheaply. Hell, maybe I can buy just the first R2 DVD, rip it, add the subtitles to it, and use DVDs 2&3 from the R1 set as-is. I'm not sure what will happen, but I really want to watch Gunbuster, and I don't want to buy the tainted R1. So, uh...does anyone know where I can still score the R0 release?
  22. Dude, I really want to see some more pics or hear some news on this. I can't wait to get one of these!
  23. Okay, so the Motoslave is likely vaporware.
  24. I wonder if it's been cancelled. Is it normal for Yamato to show a prototype and then say nothing for this long?
  25. Yeah, I watched it like last year and it was great. Even better than I remember.
