  1. If by that you mean the 1/48 nose looks way too long now (and even a bit droopy), I'm seeing the same thing.
  2. Seriously, is nobody going to get a close up of the VF-1D picture in the Yamato display?
  3. Yeah, even the forearm armor is TV shaped! Now where's the damn 1D?
  4. If this bombs and ends up on sale for half off, I'll get one.
  5. Hmm, you might be right about that. Have you seen Macross? Did you see the pictures in the review? Ahh, there's the source of the confusion. The tip of the nosecone is removable on the 1/48. The entire nose and cockpit of the 1/60 is removable. That's the difference.
  6. I've noticed that it's easier to get the legs unhooked from the back plate (fighter mode to gerwalk) if I pull back on the legs while pushing them down. In other words, pull back on the valk's ankle and the legs should pop free easier.
  7. Yes! I too want a release of Kawamori's ultimate valkyrie design.
  8. Two millimeters, so you should be safe. There's a bit of play in the arms and gunpod handle, so maybe you can shove the gunpod up another millimeter or so.
  9. I'm having a bit of trouble believing the "broken" votes. Who would vote "broken" and then not even bitch about it in a post? If mine was broken, I assure you everyone would hear about it, because not only am I a whiner, but I'd want to warn people about what might break.
  10. Well, the barrel of the gun is pretty much right up against the armor, but if you're worried about it being to low for the landing gear, it just barely clears the ground.
  11. Got mine today and it's perfect!
  12. IT'S HERE! IT'S IN MY HOUSE! OMG OMG OMG!
  13. I got a paypal shipping label notification, which doesn't necessarily mean mine is in the mail yet, but it hopefully will be soon! Man, I've never been so happy with how a toy looked. The new VF-1 is absolutely gorgeous. With the spectacular YF-21 and Macross Zero valks, Yamato is really hitting their stride with Macross toys. I wish they'd redo the YF-19 now, since no doubt the could make it sleeker and with less gaps. For some reason I'm afraid they'll screw up the VF-1D. As long as it has a longer canopy, I'll be happy. Anyway, enough rambling from me.
  14. Me too. I'm actually kind of disappointed by this. Oh well, at least their design team can concentrate fully on the 1D now, then worry about the GBP armor later. I don't want any rushed designs.
  15. I'm going to go nuts on the 1/60 and buy every release. I don't have any 1/48's, so resentment is not an issue for me. And I don't really collect anything else. After these and the Beagle ride armor, I just need someone to make a decent Legioss and Tread, and then I can stop buying toys.
  16. 5 broken out of 32. I'd say that's very bad. 15% breakage rate out of the box? Yikes.
  17. That's what I've been hoping. If it happens, I'll have an epic nerdgasm, die, and go to heaven.
  18. 1) Happy birthday! 2) Your wife rocks. 3) That cake is absolutely amazing. How is it even possible? 4) Nice pencil holder! And is that the newly re-released Battle Angel? 5) I just turned thirty and...well, let me just say, I'm going to show my wife this thread and put her to shame!
  19. I got mine yesterday. Can't wait to get my dirty, dirty hands on that sweet bird.
  20. That's so freaking sweet! God I can't wait for mine.
  21. What's cool is they used Yellow's arms, so the forearm plates are oriented correctly.
  22. I just noticed the Beagle has a spare unhelmeted head.
  23. I know it's only meant as shorthand and not supposed to be offensive. We need to think of something better though. J-dudes?
  24. Really? I hope to get mine soon.
