    Ravage with Speaker Pod alt mode! I think a Shockwave VF-1J would be cool. His head and legs are already pretty close.

    I suppose Jetfire was the original VF/TF mashup. A modern VF/TF crossover seems kinda funny since VFs already transform. I guess this M7 Transformer is just going to be a meh Transformers jet with a VF-19 Kai head and some TF logos?

    Ha! Okay, thanks for the info. I won't bother trying to get these to snap in then. Honestly the tabs do literally nothing other than showing that you have the legs/arms where they are supposed to be. They have no hold whatsoever. My left arm tab won't even go in at all. Seems pretty stupid.

    Does anyone know how mushy the connection is supposed to be on the tabs on the back plate that stick down into the arms and legs in fighter mode? I can't really get mine to lock in but I'm afraid to press too hard.

    Personally I love how this looks. It's a mashup. It's a Jetfire Valkyrie. I think of it as taking the Matsushiro Jetfire a little bit further into Macross territory. That said I admit it doesn't make much sense that the box is 100% Transformers and the toy printing is 100% Macross. But that makes it weirder in a way that sort of makes sense for a bootleg. Since Jetfire was my first Valkyrie (and only Valk as a kid -- I knew what it was and never had a real Macross valk until adulthood), this is so cool to me. It sort of retcons my childhood Jetfire into a Macross valk.

    I definitely hate the faces, and Megatron and OP being bro-ey, and every deviation this will inevitably take from established canon. But I think this movie is going to be perfectly fine, if you can ignore the sacrilege. Most animated "kids" movies these days have better writing and stories than live action movies.

    Thanks for the round up. Well, I opened mine, and no tail fin issues. The tail fins angle enough to get them vertical, I assume to align them for snapping into the back. But I wonder if it would have been wise to just allow them to fold all the way down. I want to transform it but I'm too afraid to touch that head antenna that everyone is breaking...

    I watched it in a group of four people, and nobody thought it was good, but nobody thought it was as horrible as the comments in this thread would have you believe. Simply, not enough happened, none of the character relationships were compelling, only maybe two moments/lines were at all funny. I wouldn't say I was bored, but I definitely never felt excited or invested in anything happening. JLC was definitely underutilized. Blanchett's hair was distractingly cosplayish. Nothing was super cringe though. The world definitely felt like borderlands to me. But I was still left unsatisfied.

    Is nobody talking about Axel Foley or am I just way behind? Anyway, I watched it, and it's about as good as it could possibly be, considering everyone is 40 years older.

    Not a fan of this style, especially on a 4 inch fig. The level of detail attempted is ludicrous at this scale. All the wrinkles and paint washing makes everything look messy and dirty. I guess if you need things to look ultra gritty to make yourself feel like you're not playing with toys? Even that base/stand looks depressing. As usual, the attempt at gritty realism is at odds with the mall ninja armored knee pads.
