  1. It's Obari af.
  2. I'd love it if some toy maker essentially started with this Armo-Fighter kit and worked backwards to a transformable toy without changing the fighter mode proportions at all.
  3. Sweet! Another Nintendo product that will be impossible to get!
  4. Real talent and money are required to make good movies and until it's safe studios won't invest those things into "nerdy" franchises. There were no big money Sci Fi movies until Star Wars blazed a trail. Right afterward you had the first Star Trek movie, Alien, etc. Then you had Superman and Batman movies that did okay but X-Men blew that wide open and now studios will throw money and talent at any comic book superhero. Lord of the Rings showed that you can make superb fantasy movies but I'm not sure if there are any hot non-Tolkien fantasy franchises out there other than GoT. Anyway my point is they can make a good D&D movie if they put the money and talent into it. But D&D would probably have to be way more popular for that to happen.
  5. I'm not sure that this guy had anything to do with the GI Joe of the 80's. But I could be wrong. You can credit Larry Hama, Ron Rudat, Buzz Dixon, etc if you enjoyed A Real American Hero.
  6. Right? The Milia 1/60 with fast packs is cheaper than this.

    That diorama is amazing! Kudos!
  8. So no pre-order for Max yet right? Or have I missed it?
  9. Oh my freaking god. Hard pass. I really don't like this obsession with middle school girls that exists in anime fandom.
  10. Cool, an M&M release that I can probably get before they instantly sell out!
  11. Good god those feet stick out far in fighter mode. I always hated how no toy seems to get this right.
  12. VT-1 is what I want!
  13. Honestly, seeing this makes me wonder what I'm doing with my life. I need to build Lego valks.
  14. Spectacular! WHOA, just saw the Koenig too. Amazing!
  15. What is the link to the 1/60 M&M KO everyone is talking about?
  16. My god. The Beagle was amazing and the creator is all "it's aight...I could do better now." Hell yeah! Let's see what you got!
  17. I haven't played Breath of the Wild yet but the weapon breaking mechanic does sound annoying as hell. And yet this game has 98% on metacritic. I stopped trusting game reviews a long time ago but if the weapon breaking stuff is half as annoying as you guys make it sound, a 98% score is laughable.

My Cannon Fodder and Glaug arrived yesterday. CF looks amazing. Appreciate the TV head & shoulder cover. However I still can't get over the need to swap out the canopy & gunpod handle. The Glaug is huge! Looks fantastic but man are those click joints weak! WTF is the point of click joints if they can't even hold up the toy? Anybody know how to fix them?
  19. I hope this isn't a live action version of the original Ghost in the Shell animated movie, because that movie was frankly terrible. It tried so hard to be deep but just ended up being boring and excruciating to sit through. Especially those long scenes showing the city with the weird wailing/singing in the background.
  20. Agreed! The unfamiliar sound effects takes me right out of the experience. Why watch a bastardization of a bastardization? Robotech is only worth watching for the nostalgia, otherwise I might as well watch Macross.
  21. So is that 1/30 VF-1 vaporware at this point?
  22. Man I dunno. I want to like it. Proportions are kind bizarre though. Huge legs & feet, tiny head, etc. Not liking how the head & chest hang in fighter. Also the feet stick out way too far in the rear, as usual. Is the Legioss just impossible to do right without anime magic?
  23. I never thought about it before, but yes, this describes me.
  24. So obviously Nintendo really wants to get out of the console market. They know what side their bread is buttered on, and that's handhelds. They dominate the handheld market, and would really like to wean us all off of consoles and just get us to use handhelds. The Wii U was basically a console with a handheld attachment they wanted gamers to get used to. Now the Switch is a console that's really a handheld with a dock and TV out. It's all part of their plan to exit the console market and get us to come with them. I totally don't know if any of the above is true but it's a fun hypothesis.
