  1. I can't justify it with logic, or any sort of ethical argument, but let's just call it a gut feeling I have: People who uncritically accept hot garbage, and pretend that huge, glaring flaws don't exist, are deserving of at least some level of ridicule. Whether we're talking $300 toys, or politicians, or anything. Because in effect, they're gaslighting. It's a form of dishonesty, and it's grating to have to read or hear it. It puts the onus on the reader/listener to reconcile what they're seeing with their own eyes against what the gaslighter is saying, and that's exhaustive work that could be avoided with a little honesty. Okay, so maybe I did have an ethical argument after all.
  2. What a hot mess. Nose droop, thrust nozzles that hang out in space not attached to anything, those hideous Null Ray connectors, the hinges on the leading edge of the wings, the ridiculous canopy inception. I guess if all you care about is cartoon-accurate robots, but don't want a statue, this is the toy for you. What's funny is G1 Transformers all looked really nice in alt mode but had pretty crappy bot modes. For me, "Masterpiece" TFs mean making the robot modes good also, not reversing the situation until the alt mode sucks.
  3. It is! I think that's part of why I find it funny. Most Robotech fan designs are laughably bad. This one is super ridiculous (Mospiigaa?) yet actually kind of works! Seeing how the Inbit appropriated the human form, and the Armo-soldier idea, I could see them doing this!
  4. Good idea. I'm sure I would have thought of it eventually... Yeah, that will eliminate a few pinch points.
  5. Also, this is just funny:
  6. So, I finally got my replacement hand from Sentinel! I knew if I complained about not getting it, I would get it pretty much immediately after. That's just how my life works. Now for the bad news! It was shipped directly from China in a paper envelope. So of course it arrived broken. Thumb snapped right off! So now I had a right hand with a broken thumb and a right hand with a broken trigger finger. Again, that's just how my life works. Now for the good news! It wasn't hard to push the rod out with a thumbtack, swap the broken trigger finger with the good trigger finger, and replace the rod. Now I have one perfect right hand and one that appears to have been hit by an Inbit beam cannon. Anyway my Legioss is now good as new, but I'm never gonna transform it again. Seriously, how has nobody else broken a finger on this thing? How do you fold it up in the forearm and not crush it against the inner arm or slice off fingers with the vertical stab?
  7. US, yeah. Hmm, maybe I'll give it another few weeks then, if it's on a boat.
  8. So, no sign of my replacement hand from Sentinel. I think it's been a couple months since they said they'd send it. I assume it's not gonna happen. Hmm, anyone know of good replacement hands in this scale?
  9. Yeah, I hope the windows are as dark/opaque as those pictures make them look. Much better.
  10. Wat. So the real canopy behind a fake canopy. And the fake canopy behind a cover in alt mode. Lol WTF? Why?
  11. That's funny, because I have no such disappointment with my MP-11, which was much cheaper and looks great in both modes without the need of any faux parts.
  12. Also, why did Starscream skip leg day?
  13. Admittedly, this is my main complaint too. Not a showstopper for me, just an imperfection. Lol!
  14. Wow. A lot I don't like about the new MP Starscream. The giant cover hanging down from the fuselage that exists only to hide the faux cockpit for one. I mean, that's what that is, right? Please tell me I'm wrong. And the fact that they need a faux fuselage, when not even the non-MP seekers have stooped to that. The underside in alt mode just seems bad generally. The attachment arms for the null rays are an eyesore. And the ugly transition from the leg to the thrust nozzles with weird robot bits sticking out. Also don't like how busy it looks between the wings from the top view. Looks like a lot of little pieces instead of a smooth airplane surface. They definitely sacrificed alt mode for robot mode. It seems like a lot of people don't like the existing MP Seekers. Why is that? Other than some QC issues, the ones I have (SS and Thrust) are amazing. They look awesome in both modes. I'd prefer QC-improved releases of those over this new Seeker design any day.
  15. Profit director. Subtle. Is Destro gonna have to commercialize a business?
  16. There's rumor of a Space Mining Mech coming next year in the Creator line. I'm hoping it references a classic sub-theme like M-Tron, if not just generic Classic Space. At the very least it needs to have colored windscreens and the Classic Space logo somewhere.
  17. Thanks for that info! I am not familiar at all the the Studio Series but I hope the ones you listed end up being good. And I hope Jazz and Thrust have their Earth alt-modes
  18. Are those supposed to be from the 80's animated movie? If so, that would be a first for the Studio Series right?
  19. Sad that he just does porn now. I loved all of his early sci-fi stuff.
  20. The gun is definitely not centered in the line art. Compare the center of the gun with the center of the little wind screen/console thing.
  21. Red on black is so much better than gold on white!
  22. Am I the only one who thinks Timothée Chalamet has an extremely punchable face? I don't think I could look at the guy for an entire movie. Also, Oscar Isaac is in this too? Talk about overexposed. He's totally mediocre and yet he's in everything.
