It does have a lot fewer accessories than the last few releases, considering all of them have had Super Parts...

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Mandarake actually canceled my order, as the YF-19 had already been sold. I'm actually slightly relieved, as that was kind of a lot of money to spend all at once, considering I payed the Nippon-Yasan markup for the DX VF-1A. Going to wait a little before re-ordering, I think...
  3. Don't you remember the soundtrack? The first 20 minutes are pretty brutal, though. Now that I'm thinking about it, I may have to go watch it again.

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

Bit the bullet and ordered one off of Mandarake. After getting gouged on the DX VF-1A, I figured I may as well go for broke.
  5. For shame! The first three Star Wars films are great, and the 80's Transformers film is the best kind of cheesey.
  6. I just caved and ordered one at Nippon-Yasan, so I guess the second waves of pre-orders will be announced any second now. In all seriousness, I've missed out on every DX Macross release because I keep thinking I'll just wait and get it at retail eventually, and it never happens. I'm just tired of missing out.
  7. As good as the toy itself may be, I can't say that it's worth even close to $300 when you look at the abysmal accessory count. Even if we got the missiles included in the box, I still wouldn't feel good about that price point when I look at premium toys from other lines.
  8. Or Bandai could just make an amount proportional to the demand, while maintaining a reasonable msrp. If you want to go pay $300, nin nin has you covered.

I honestly wish that if they did decide to do Plus, they'd start with the VF-11B (another design that doesn't get enough love), followed by the YF-21, and then finally the YF-19. Never going to happen, though. The YF-19 just eclipses everything else from that series.
  10. Bandai loves to keep their Macross toys scarce, so I'm not going to hold my breath. Too bad Kakizaki wasn't the one to get the first release slot for this 1/48 line, they could have included a half eaten steak as a "First Release" accessory.
  11. I'm still kicking myself for missing out on the Hikaru VF-1J last year (among a few other missed toys), so I need to make sure I don't let this one slip by. Bandai please reissue Hikaru's VF-1J.
  12. I also read something about someone having a similar problem, and it was on one of the 30th reissue Valkyries No one posted a solution or any ideas, though.
  13. I've recently acquired my first yamato perfect transformation valkyrie (the somewhat recently reissued Skull Leader VF-1, with the optional parts) and I've had a small issue with the hip assembly. The "T" shaped bar that is connected to the hip bar that plugs into the nosecone is what is causing me problems. Where this bar connects to the straight metal bar (located almost like a spine in battroid mode) wants to sag outward. When the hip assembly is plugged into the nosecone, at the joint where the two metal bars meet, it is forced outward as the whole figure slouches forward. When the toy is standing, all that is preventing the hinge joint from rocking back and popping out of place is the trap door of the nosecone. And this door is permanently bluging outward, and any force on the hips that moves that joint is enough to have the trap door pop open, and the joint to fully sag outward (often disloding the hip bar clipped into place). I am somewhat at a loss. I'm unsure if this is a common problem of the design, or if the inner section of the nosecone is supposed to grip the bar more tightly, preventing it from so easily disloding itself. I apologize if my wording was confusing, and any information would be most appreciated.
