NZEOD, Here is the Yamato sketch. Have at it. Lots of fun in there! Yamato_3_Guns_new.ino

As Yamato was my first passion as a teensie weensie 8-yr old around 1980, I wanted to inaugurate a thread for everyone to share their Yamato models (That means you: Nyankodevice, Mechtech, Derex3592, Thom, et al.) This was a terribly long and painful, yet extremely fun project. I will detail the build further in the coming weeks. In summary I could not have got anywhere with it if not for Mechtech and NZEOD's patient advice. I hope you get a kick out of it.

She lists a bit to port, but she is sea worthy. Enjoy.

Udon soup break. I've been soldering for 5 hours. Tonight we know if she flies.

Thanks guys. I'm shocked that my bad painting would get you to take on the Yamato. If Nyanko paints one, wow, that will be special.

And that character's name would be "Shoji" Ichijyo. -
Does Minmay count? I don't collect girl figures either, I collect Macross figures, which just happen to have a lot of girls! BTW, a few select figures with valks look great on display. I'm not doing the full Walkure, but got my SHF Freyja. She looks great and I like her well enough, although Delta didn't engender any passion from me.

Had some paint peel with Mr Hobby Primer Surfacer 1000. I am hand retouching as you can see, because I can't strip with all the wiring inside. I let it cure for 48 hours. So I either had some greasy thumbs, or I was too light with the primer based on the "before" picture.

I purchased, or should I say, tried to purchase a VF-1A TV Max V2 on Ebay. The sellers name is Yankyshoulders. After paying and not getting a tracking number for a couple weeks, I contacted him, and this was the response: "thanks for purchase. The item has been returned to me from custom. it is strange. When i check it, i found that the legs was broken. This is my last item." Although this sounds suspiciously like he was trying to set me up, he did refund me. Can anyone recommend a more reliable option ? -
Mechtech, True, cant do all of it. But I think part of it could be done. If we manually remove those doors, one servo can raise the lift to get the Zero at the level of the launcher. It would be so cool.

Maybe in close range, it could deal with the Monster. It has good maneuverability, lots of scanning radar, and serious firepower with good variety. But sorry, from a distance, the Monster would smack it down. Maybe I'm biased
-
Thanks. The benefit is you can reprogram as you like without taking the kit apart. There are much cooler effects yet to learn to make the engine rock and roll.
-
Excellent advice. You will also save yourself a lot of frustration.

I think it could take out any Destroid, except the Monster. (Whats the CIWS from?)
-
I wonder what's next? Big surprises, I hope.
-
Mechtech, I'm wondering if you can do this for your 1/350. I'm not kidding.

These Delta SHFiguarts do look very nice. The SHFiguarts shown for Ranka and Sheryl looked clunky to me. I hope they redo the Frontier ones to same quality as the Deltas.
