How much sanding does that thing need? Hats off to you resin modelers. Three hours later I'm not past the boots!
-
Because its not real die cast. I recently bought my son an old fashioned game of jacks. I dare you to break these!

Never saw a VF-2 I liked. But this I want.

I've got some figure painting to do. My first time. I think I will airbrush and hand brush details. Can anyone recommend good How-To videos to deal with these?
-
What are those two? YF19? and what? Which mortar head kit is that?
-
Thats what I was going to say. In modeling we have skill moves, lucky shots, and nice saves!

I have been planning some base construction for a while. I printed this Nadia Blue Water design on a 2mm acrylic sheet at my local office supply store. Good deal! It will be backlit in a gold frame for the base.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Good old Yamato. The dumbest valk mistake I made was selling my 30th anniversary Roy and Hikaru, thinking that the Arcadia would be an upgrade. Now I have a pink Roy. Sheeeeeesh. -
Got the clear coat down on the deck. Thats my Humbrol clear in light coats. The hull is ready for its clear coat. Engine color matching test is good enough for me.

Do we know if anyone will reissue Moscato's Atmospheric booster?

I always use FJ. Dont know how it compares in terms of rates. But never had any problems with them. Unfortunately, it has been impossible to load their site for months now on my computer. I use Windows Chrome. Anyone else experience this?

Nothing compared to you masters. But i tried to go light with the airbrush and mist on the coats. I wanted to keep some of the pre-shading. Not sure if I did it right. But maybe the gloss coat will bring it to life.

No, those are styrene custom details I have already added and painted in the photos above. That's just how I planned them out. They are based on the old J-Factory resin kit.

Xigfrid, you dont know failed white paint till you see mine. It is motorized, you can see on my youtube page. Electronics will be re-installed after finishing the painting,

So we can expect a step-by-step?

Now thats a beautiful birdy. I can just imagine all the schemes people are gonna come up with.

Hmmm... Interesting thread. I would direct those of you who are concerned about your collecting habits to an interview on CollectioDX with a collector who left the game. Very informative. As for me, I hate "collecting" and I'm no "completist". I "buy" toys that I love dearly. I play with them and pose them. If I have loved it for years, and fully expect to treasure it for years to come, I buy it, otherwise I stay away, or end up selling it anyway. For most people (not all), I think toys and models are as harmless and inexpensive a hobby as you could have. Its not like we are collecting houses, ferraris or Arabian horses here. And you certainly wont run anyone over from a valkyrie addiction!

It takes a real toy company.

1/48 MOSPEADA INBIT KIT REVIVAL?
arbit replied to captain america's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Thanks. I recently used smooth-on 30 to make a mold and found it really nice. Do you use a pressure chamber for the resin, or just pour? -

Cool. Which smooth-on rubber and resin do you use? -
Xigfrid, you're a genius! Here are the smallest components I could find for the motorized valk: 7mm height motor and 2mm height limit switches. This might actually be doable.
