  1. Thanks Mechtech. That means a lot coming from you. Regarding the Nautilus, I am still trying to solve the creaking sound. I was able to make the wings open smoothly by sanding, but the creaking only came after I closed it. As you suggested, I have ordered some RC pure silicone shock oil with medium viscosity. Do you know if it will damage the paint?
  2. Thanks. I hate painting. Its a nightmare. Actually I had to paint it twice because I had flash in my gloss coat the first time. Fortunately I installed most of the electronics after painting.
  3. Informative Tamashii interview mentioned in a recent SpeakerPodcast.
  4. This is the final video for you all.
  5. Thanks. You could say it was 1.5 years of learning and planning, and half a year of work.
  6. Thanks, but in fact I am a total noob and figuring things out as I go. If it wasnt for youtube tutorials, I couldnt do a thing.
  7. Finally got a good cast of bubble-free engines.
  8. Is that a 1/72 Tomahawk?
  9. Good to hear. Looks tiny! What's the height?
  10. Hi Captain. From your experience, after you crack open a case of Mold Max 30, whats the shelf life on it?
  11. Maybe Gunmetal? And some sand? I would try the underside first and see how it looks. Looking fantastic! Really pops.
  12. That's Anno's scene with the melting god warrior. Now, did he work on DYRL before or after Nausicaa?
  13. Wash look great. How could you harpoon the Ohmu? Try some metallic dry brushing on all the edges of the scales, bronze and steel and brass. Of course I would put some leds in the eye holes
  14. Gettin dirty! Really nice scheme.
  15. After some paint mishaps, finally the fun part.
  16. Derex, Nice clean finish. Looks ready for the wash. I guess that wont be transforming ever again.
  17. I think its the texture of your 3D printing that is giving paint issues. We need a solution for that. I am not good at such fine sanding.
  18. Nausicaa is sad you dont know who she is. Go watch it.
  19. Nausicaa and Kai pretty much done.
  20. This is just epoxy and magnets with Leiji Matsumoto Mechanical Series battleships and the Yamato SDF-1. Literally a 10 minute project. I didn't have to customize or damage anything. The nice thing about epoxy is you can peel it off when you want the toy back like new without any problems. But I did micro decal the SDF-1 and add some highlights, but no real painting, just Mr. Top Coat Semi Gloss applied by a pro named TK Mechworks who lives nearby.
