Cool. Show us the process. Good to know for others who might need to repair. I assume there is some kind of logic chip inside because it has a led cycle. Did you check it?

If you have seen Kye's amazing custom, I used the same HiQ micro decals. Hundreds of them. Its a lot of fun and you cant go wrong.

Yes thats the way to do it. It is a very strong joint and pressure wont hurt it. The risk is to damage other parts of the ship while you put that pressure, so keep that in mind and dont slip. Move fragile antenas and stuff out of the way of your hand motion.

I grew up loving Star Wars in the early 80's. I didnt have every figure, but I had lots of them, and lots of ships. All I wanted basically. These days, I dont have or need any Star Wars figures, no matter how big a fan I am, because it has always been there, as much as I wanted. But Macross was different. I grew up loving Macross even more than Star Wars in some ways. But it was mysterious. There were no toys, at least not in Texas and the East Coast where I grew up. I didnt have access to conventions or a cool neighborhood comic store that brought Arii kits, or 1/55 Valks, or VHS tapes that might have cleared up some of the mystery. We didnt have anything no matter how much I looked. Plus Macross was of mysterious origins and a lot of its provenance was baffling to me. So unlike Star Wars, there is kind of an unsatisfied itch that explains my personal collecting. Its rarity adds to the hobby. Now that we have access to pretty much everything we want, we are gonna catch them all until that itch is scratched.

Well, show us your toys already.

Looks great. I have the Ohmu toy figure, so I dont need to build one. I recommend the Figma God Warrior too!

You need Luke hanging from the belly on a string with his light saber!

Wait, I thought the original yamato decals WERE glow in the dark.
-
You dont attach them straight in like a plug. You attach at an angle, then with pressure you click in the second side.
-
I would say this is the perfect place to post this. Keep at it and show us your progress. Have you considered glow in the dark paint? I've been detailing mine for going on 4 years now as I learn more skills.

Nice trick. Meanwhile, newly installed rear observation window. Never knew it would be so hard to find clear pearls. They only sell colored ones!!!!!

Cool, thanks for the recommendation. I've spent a week stripping my figures after that dastardly Vallejo mask. Usually I trust their products. How does Humbrol do with little cracks and crevices? Does it pull right off in one piece?

Just had a terrible experience with Vallejo Liquid Mask on my resin figures, as detailed below. Wish I had seen it earlier. Back to sticky tack for me.

Nice cockpit! what scale is that? Very detailed.
