Lots of nice little details on such a small scale. What's with the Joule Thief, is it to save space from a 3V setup?

Looks awesome with lots of details. Agree with Shawn. What did it look like before painting?

Chas, brilliant work. But the cockpit looks too white and clean compared to the body. Maybe a bit if weathering will do it?

@Chas Your base coat and weathering on the falcon are really sweet.

It's just for money saving. Mostly they are selling reruns old molds, with as little money expended as possible. And before 3D modeling, sculpting good pilots was not easy. And if you talk about character pilot figures from an anime, they would have to license the figure as well as the vehicle. That's why you see these no-name valk girls.

Thanks MT, yes I think I should make those pouches with softer edges. The chest computer details vary depending on the line art, so I am fine with those. The important question to me is: overall does it looks like the character? But it doesn't have to be perfect.

Hi guys, This is a WIP for your feedback. I've been stuck on it for a long time, but started to make progress by working section by section, and not worrying about parts I wasn't happy with. After a lot of procrastination, I think it's finally headed in the right direction. Could you guys give me some feedback on the body proportions (for example head size). Please also comment on the facial features (I can elongate or widen any features). Please go into any detail that might help improve the overall look.

@tankball Did you mute the songs, or are they not functioning?

This is the final smoothed version. After some more error checks it will be ready for 3D printing. I will post it on my Patreon page when it is ready for download. -

This is how the soldier model actually looks without animation "smoothing". I did some work on the model to show you the process. - I separated all the body parts - I edit each part to make sure it is 3D - I reposed the arms and legs Next step will be to "smooth" each part for 3D printing. The challenge will be to "smooth" the part without losing the shape. -

Cool. Thank you. Do they include any armature files? These can be used for posing. (Maybe search .arm files) -

I meant, let me know if you find any figures in the games, like Macross 30 game or Frontier games. I think there is one female pilot figure in Macross 30. FYI, I release my models on Cults too. -

Thanks! What other models does Frontier have? Please let me know if you find any figure models of the characters. Yes, a lot of editing is required to print a good model. Every point has to be inspected and redesigned. It would take many many hours of work for a good result that is printable and looks good. But a bad model like you find on thingiverse doesn't require much work. -
Cool. Little eyes are a problem, but only when zoomed in like that. Did you consider putting some shadow on the area and going from there?

Looks very good. Great job!

Pretty cool. I like the helmet the most. If you try to smooth each item separately, you will get better definition. For example separate the shoulder pads, chest pads shoes, helmet, etc. and then smooth them. Sometimes I don't smooth smaller details if they ruin the main body. You can also bevel all the sharp edges and thin edges before smoothing to also improve definition. If you want, you can send me your original low-poly file, and I will try to "upgrade" it for you.

Looks cool Mechtech. And I DID NOT read that as Roman Orgy. I know very well what an Ogee is, especially after googling it just now 😁 Very nice paint finish. Colors look great. Thanks for sharing. Love the old school. Looks like your prints are headed in the right direction. I am sure you have learned a lot that will help you with future 3D valk models not taking so much time as this one did.

It is your design? Very cool. Do you have a website to see your work?
