Hm I'm thinking if I should buy a Yamato Valkyrie just to have one.... ...I feel it should be a DYRL 1/60 V2 VF-1S with super and strike parts in the Roy Fokker colors but I can't find one anywhere besides ebay. Hm another option would be the VF-19 (I'm not a fan of Dockaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa *scream*)but I like the YF-19 more and would bought an update without a second thought. But that seems unlikely now... ....hm *tipps with the finger against his chin*

That is awesome! It would be really cool to see all the Valkyries taken apart to see what to expect when you maintenance the toy (or are they already available somewhere on MW that is not the forums ). Thank you very much for the great pictures.

If you can read it that is.

Thanks hamid it works even with the Armored Parts equipped. Really nice! Have to check the pose but it look good so far. Thumbs up!

How does the gun-pod stay attached in the armrest like that? Is it jammed between the shield and the slot for the handle? Never tried to attach the gun-pod there. I would love to display my Ozma in full missile mode like it's displayed on the box of the Armored Parts but want to leave the gun-pod on the model.

Well you have to plan your Macross collection in advance. Besides I don't think that you can miss it here on MW because Bandai will release 12 pieces world wide with 9 for the domestic market only and one for HLJ, AnimeExport and amiami each and thus people will post 5 ppm shouting that Bandai is the devil because of that.

For my collection I have to restrain me harshly because otherwise I end up buying all the stuff in multiple quantities and I don't have the money or the space for that. In my mind having 10 VF25S renewals is a good thing so I can have three in Battroid, three in Gerwalk and three in Fighter all with Armored/Super/Stock Parts. And one MISB for storage (maybe two because the other one might catch fire).o at the moment I'm only collecting DX Chogokin Macross Frontier stuff (stupid I know but the first two renewal releases was easy to preorder and now I'm stuck with it). To keep costs and shelf-space manageable I set up following rules for the Frontier collection. The rules are in separate tiers so rule one is more important than rule two etc. First don’t over budget for monthly the financial means laid out for the month. Second have a collection that represents the full spectrum of the DX Chogokin renewal line. Third don't double dip on paint schemes, VFs and characters. Forth minimize the number of toys in storage. Now the plan is (and it is partially fulfilled at the moment) to get the VF-25S Armored Messiah, the VF-25F Super Messian, the VF-25G Tornado Messiah and the RVF-25 to have the complete Skull Squadron and have all the variants of the VF-25 without breaking the above rules. Then add the VF-171CF (see rule three) and VF-27 Brera Type both with Super Parts to complete the Variable Fighter Frontier Universe from the tv show. Further I included the YF-29 30th VF-1 Scheme (so I don’t break rule three) and the YF-30 if it is ever made. To complete the collection I will add a S.H.Monsterarts Vajra. For my other collections I have also rules. For example my transformers collection is based on certain characters (Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime/Scourge, Skywarp, Shockwave, Galvatron and Cliffjumper) because I made the observation that without rules I buy too much stuff that I don’t need and because rule one is very important I had to pass on stuff in the past like the not Shockwave toy from FansToys. If I see really cool stuff I just buy it but make sure that I don’t over budget. For instance I think that the S.H.Figuarts line is interesting so I bought one S.H.Figuarts of a sale just to take a look at it. So I don't start to collect all the Kamen Rider or the complete Tiger & Bunny cast. Since not breaking the budget is the most important rule for my collection the chances of yielding to a buying frenzy is minimal. So after my Frontier collection is complete (to Quarter or not to Quarter: That is the question!) I might start to collect a DYRL? Skull Squadron of e-bay. In general you have to decide what a collector you want to be. I decided to have “state of the line” collections. Your preferences might differ.

Hm I watched Spaceballs the other day and I thought somebody should make a toy out of this spacecraft. Cheer up guys it's not the end of the world Bandai is still producing Valkyries right?
-
Aw, finally some love for poor Kakizaki! He deserves it.

I had the same feeling. At first glance I thought it was a custom made Yamato kit but this is wicked cool stuff.

Veef made a video for his replacement parts. There you can see the part that's cracked. Basically it's the pin in the shoulder hinge that is to big due to its star-shaped ends for the fit. You can see some pictures of cracked shoulder hinges in the beginning of the video.

Gawk at these piles of Macross toys..Back in the day...

Yea you're right I guess the number of boxes in the images Kevin shared are greater then the number of items HLJ receives from Bandai. -
Well the chest armor of the Super Part also doesn't contain missile pods. So non missile firing breast holders are not unknown to the Macross universe. Also the Macross Mecha Manual lists no missiles besides the armament under the wings and the four reaction missiles in the rocket launcher on the left arm. Maybe the developer of Macross 30 had the same idea when they saw the chest armor. The chest of the Armored VF-25S fires missiles then all chests should fire some and the Super VF-171 had not enough punch so now it fires missiles even if it's not canon. Their I said the c-word now I feel bad.

I just realized that HLJ had no preorders up. I wonder if they abandoned the Bandai DX Chogokin Valkyrie line due to the fuss with the preorders. Or were the preorders up and I didn't noticed it.

Thanks master. I'm mostly interested if the SMS logo on the base of the stand is now painted and if a set of head lasers made out of hard plastic are included. Also if the SMS 030 printing on the wings is still white on white.

And any differences with the first release?

Thanks jenius I will read it asap! So after reading the review I really hope Bandai makes a set for the CF. It's really sad that the missile launcher on the right arm doesn't do anything. Especially since the Armor and Super Parts have movable nozzles and opening missile pod doors. They look great though.

I really like the effect parts you made for the VF-25S zoffy. They look great. Do you plan to build additional parts for the other missile pods? On a second thought that might be not a good idea because you wouldn't be able to see Ozma with all that missile fume.

I still don't like those Ikea cabinets.

I just figured out that my Armored VF-25S is to huge for my cabinets in Fighter-Mode

Just fold away with your whole apartment! A DX Chogokin YF-29 should be able to do that... ...man that sounded like a total nerd.

If Yamato really went bankrupt it's sad to see that they all the Valkyries that the needed to sell to be profitable are now highly desired items that are going to be sold out everywhere.
