It seems that my package was send from customs at the airport directly to customs in my local area. Because of New Year it will remain there for probably another weak. Then they will send me a letter that something was wrong with the shipping papers (something that never happened before with hlj shipments) and I can go to the customs office myself and getting the package and paying a fee. Then new years begins with a bang already. Oh well, anticipation is the best!

It depends. I'm sure we won't see a V3 in the next few years but if someone from Arcadia is reading this message board then we might give them the right ideas now before they start planning the toy. If we see the first prototype and it has a swing bar then it is too late for a accurate leg transformation. However I decided that I will only buy a DYRL? Squadron from Arcadia and Mirijas VF-1J as well as a GBP gift set if they release one. If the V3 happens soon that I can still buy a V3 Vermillion Squadron + Roy to have a bit variety among all those VF-1. If this is true then it has to be in a different scale then 1/60 because Arcadia has the license for that, right?

The original Super Parts won't fit on the Renewal Valkyries. However the Super Parts for the VF-25A Renewal are gonna be released in the end of April 2014. MSRP is gonna be 5400 Yen. You can order them here: http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/macross/6193-macross-f-super-parts-set-for-dx-chogokin-vf-25a-messiah-valkyrie-regular-limited-edition.html or any other shop that carries the Tamashii Webshop exclusive stuff. To go with the designated Super Parts is in my opinion always the best solution because the color code is matching and the unit number is the right one (the marking on the leg armor. The correct number for the VF-25A is 27).

I'm not really concerned about a new designer until we see some images of the first MP Transformer he designed. I really like the Alternity line for all the details and finish they have (I will never understand why the MP cars have no clear tail lights). However I will be very angry if the first MP toy from that designer is Convoy in a new scale.- 16946 replies

That spaceship is mighty nice. I always would love to have the big Space Police II spaceship I had one at some point in time but it slipped away. This set is probably my favorite Lego toy ever.

I would add: 11) a mechanism to shorten the wings in Battroid-Mode 12) a mechanism to shorten the nosecone without leading to the priest collar 13) some panels to fill in the free space in the torso area (think of MP Lambor lower leg fillers) 14) a transformable cockpit with an egress hatch 15) new hard points on the wing that can either be replaced to have a clean underside or some kind of magnet connection 16) ... can't think of another thing right now

Are there any images around showing the flame sword? Is it the same sword that came with MP-08 or is it something different? Just saw this on BBTS So any pictures for this ominous bonus coin? I also ordered the MP Soundwave from a NY sale. So with this and the reissue of Lambor and Grimlock I have all the similar sized MP figures released to date (including the MP-06 and MP-09). I'm still waiting on a proper MP-11 Skywarp release but it seems that I'm a Transformers Masterpiece collector now. Is there any information if Takara is planning to release the MP Bumblebee as a Cliffjumper repaint? I really prefer red over yellow.- 16946 replies

Sooooo after one week staying in customs the VF-1 should be in my hands tomorrow. Any advice for handling the toy because it will be my first Yamcadia VF-1.
-
I'm not sure they will release these molds any time soon. Especially since most of them are still in stock at a discount. If Arcadia is reissuing them I'm sure they will be only that and not renewal toys.

If it is the VF-11MAXL I had to buy a VF-19K with Soundbooster. I better ordering one know before it is too late. I also would prefer that a potential Sound Force Valkyrie is cast in glossy plastic it will fit nicely with the K. I think a transformable VF-9 that is very sleek in Fighter- and bulky in Battroid-Mode would really impress Kawamori.
-
I think it was already denied that it will be the VF-2SS. For some reasons Macross 2 is not that popular in Japan.
-
Actually this bears the question if the VF-19A is the production model of the YF-19 (much like the F-22 to the YF-22). Should the VF-19P be the same as the VF-19P (minus head turret, these speakers on the shoulder and some inner workings). In the line art they look different because Marcoss 7 has a different art style then Plus. To paraphrase it differently: in the real world would the VF-19A and VF-19P look almost identically?

I assume that you are interested in a VF-1S Hikaru (the one with the red and black trim). As stated by the others Arcadia released a very nice toy last month. It is still available for 15k Yen ($150). It is missing the Strike Parts add on set (the dark blue armor) which should be released by Arcadia down the line (no announcements yet). This toy is roughly 1/60 scale. The chunky monkey was originally from Takatoku and in 1/55 scale. The molds where bought by Bandai after Takatoku had filed for bankruptcy in the late 80s. The original toys are expensive but Bandai re-released them a couple of times so you might be able to find a reissue for less the $500. I don't know the market for these toys so I cannot say for sure. The Arcadia toy is pretty awesome so if you want a updated version go with that. It is more a collection piece as a toy but this version has already seen a couple of reissues and it is pretty solid. If you are not set on the chunky monkey I would go with this version. As stated it is still available so no hassle with shady ebay dealers who want to sell you only the box for 100 bucks. Here is a link to the toy: http://www.hlj.com/product/ACA82019/Sci It is available from other shops as well like amiami or nippon yasan. Ordering from overseas should not be a problem since these shops are specialized to deal with us dirty gaijin.

I assume he meant transforming Valkyries in the stile of the Super Deformed VF-25F Bandai released a few years ago or the old Joke Machines (or like the one he choose for his avatar as he stated in his post). Of course the characteristic big head of any SD figure has to be a bit toned to in order to achieve Perfect Transformation. Check out some reviews of the SD VF-25F I mentioned to see what I mean.

Maybe Bandais 1/72nd scale Frontier kits have decals you can salvage.
-
Has anyone asked Mr. K if Arcadia has any plans to release a VF-1 Miria Custom in the Macross 7 variant (with the black trim)?
-
Yeah I know. My favorite Lego set, the 8880 Super Sport Car, has printed side mirrors and head lights. I bet they would be stickers if the release the kit today. In fact I got also his successor the 8070 last year and it has stickers all over the place.

I have a Nu Gundam Ver. Ka in my warehouse. I haven't decided what to do with the stickers. A part of me wants to paint it but this will lead to a couple of other problems like finding a matching paint already mixed up in a spray can since I don't want to invest in an airbrush station. The Nu Gundam was planned as a kit that gets me into model building again so I probably will stick to the decals. A question. Does Bandai has some kind of patent on the multi colored runner molding process. I watched a Transformers review yesterday and the reviewer was complaining why some part of the robot is painted and not molded in the right color. For me the answer was simple. The parts in question where the only ones in that color on the whole toy so Hasbro didn't bother to create a new runner just for that color. That got me thinking. If Bandai can mold a runner in different colors why are other companies not able to do it. To expensive for a $10 kids toy? Keep in mind that I'm no expert for injection molding but I would be grateful for some insight.

So I got the Jedi Defender Class Cruiser from The old Republic line as a present. It is a cool piece but I wonder what is going on with the stickers. Most of my childhood sets have the details tampo printed on. I assume it is a cost saving measure by Lego but it just looks cheap. Now I would love to see a Lego Ebon Hawk next year. With Darth Revan, his cool mask and the rest of the party from the RPG. Merry Christmas

The Nu Gundam has also stickers to color a piece of plastic differently. I think one are in a light gray and the other in a powder blue. I think the reason for that is that it would be to expensive for the powder blue parts because the color never appears on the Gundam ever again (then again I have seen runners with 4 different colors cast in translucent and opaque). The gray parts might be not feasible since they are so small. I don't think Bandai is half-assing their most valuable line.

Did you order them individually? If so they will send you two packages because they never combine orders until you ask them. I asked them once to combine orders and their answer was that shipping will be more expensive when I combine the orders. Go figure.

I think he means rotating like the shoulder gun on Warmachine in the second Ironman movie.

Was there an Gerwalk-Mode designed for the VF-14? wasn't the VF-14 Vampire was shown in the background of Yang Neumann? This would be a great addendum of the current Macross Plus release of the YF-19.

I would say relax. I had this "issue" several times where it took a while until it moved anywhere. Here is a scenario that might explain it: It could be that on Friday they packaged your toy and placed it on the "to ship" pile and it was too late to be piked up by the mailman. NY updated the status to shipped anyway because their part is done. So on Monday the package got picked up at NYs facility by the Japanese post. Then keep in mind that even if Christmas is not that big of a holiday in Japan there might be extra mail around to be processed. That might slow down things additionally. As far as I know NY are a few guys in a basement so they do not operate as professional as say hlj or amiami. Here is what I think the tracking messages mean: Arrival at outward office of exchange means that it arrived at the airport and is scheduled for transit. Dispatch from outward office of exchange means that it is on the way to your country Arrival at inward office of exchange means it arrived at the airport in your country In Customs means that it is processed by customs Final delivery means it is delivered by a local carrier to your home and you should get it in the next few days I don't know where your at but if Christmas is a big deal in your area then it might slow down the process on your side of the ocean as well. I'm waiting for a fairly big package from hlj but only if I'm super lucky I will have it in hand before New Years Eve. This package left hlj on the 20th of December and will be sitting in customs for at least two more days and I also had chosen the 3-4 days delivery. I don't know if you have experience with importing stuff from other countries or how customs are in your country but expect to wait a bit for your package. There are things that NY has no influence in. That a package is lost in transit happens not very often. If you choose the express delivery than your package will be insured so even if something happens you should be on the safe side. If you don't receive any update after the Christmas holidays you should contact NY. The fastest and most responsive way is by phone (don't worry they speak English) or via their facebook page. Email is another way to get in contact but that is usually slow and not very responsive. If something is wrong NY is the best place to get help since they can ask the Japanese postal service. End of the wall of text. Merry Christmas!

I don't know if it's just me but the plastic does look a little bit translucent. So it look more like a toy compared to any my Renewal Valkyries. Something about that shade of beige is not good looking to me. Perhaps it looks better in hand. So it comes with a printed SMS logo on the stand? Why didn't the YF-29 30th Anniversary came with one?
