I was looking at a picture of Armada Megatron from the Legacy Evolution line: And I was wondering if Hasbro is planning to release a remold of him as Animated Shockwave: Don’t know if the could integrate a Longarm Prime mode into it but it would be certainly cool getting another shot at the double agent Shockwave.- 16945 replies

Luna Park has it for ¥49,800: https://www.lunapark.store/product-page/metal-build-freedom-gundam-concept-2-snow-sparkle-ver-japan-version?utm_campaign=bc86ee0d-0427-4865-a327-de1136f1e473&utm_source=so&utm_medium=mail&cid=69b82863-ebd7-4004-b9af-b40da453cdee ¥19,000 seems a bit steep to me. [edit:] The ¥30,800 is probably without the Japanese sales tax so the markup is not as steep.

I’m excited for this release. It is the last VF-19 variant I’m missing from the Yamato mold. I'm split on the gold paint. I kinda like the Mickey D's paint scheme it is much more garish than the red with gold highlights and fits Basara better.

Got my Fans Hobby Huntsman this week and as an Stalker homage it is excellent. I think it is the best they could do with a Doubledealer remold and the given budget. Love the clashing neon colors. I would love to have another company make an upgrade set for it. There are so many possibilities: Accurately colored hands: both the original Stalker toy had neon red hands so the black ones on Huntsman really stands out An accurate gun An accurate missile tip and armature to attach the complete missile on his back A clip in cockpit piece for the empty spot on his right shin Ah, one can dream… The base mold is ok. The biggest problem are the feet that have a hard time supporting the figure in a lot of poses. It also has a lot of vestiges from Doubledealer that make the toy more unwieldy than it needs to be, like the 100 pieces that make up the backpack and were the wings on Doubledealer. I only bought one previous FH product which was their Archenemy (RiD Scourge). And based on this toy I felt that FH is lacking some of the sophistication in sculpt and execution that I would like from my collectible toys. And that is certainly true for Huntsman as well. Most of the ratchets are too strong and too widely spaced and the whole toy is missing a certain something that makes it great. As is Huntsman is a good toy. That is also true for all the other releases by Fans Hobby from what I gathered watching FH product reviews. I would love to get a Powermaster/Armada/Energon Optimus Prime but all their products are not what I want from my MP Transformers. Their Buster/Dreadwind looks very promising though, so I look forward to that.- 9240 replies

Apparently Bumblebee is not only the better movie than RotB (at half the costs) but also gave you the better toys.- 16945 replies

Got my GN Arms out of the box. It is super nice, chunky, detailed and pretty stable for what it is. I love the powder blue finish that Bandai uses for it. Makes me wish for a Metal Build Ptolemaios. Maybe not the in scale ship but the Ptolemaios Arms from Build Divers. Could combine with a Gundam too. What I don’t like is the fact that the cockpit doesn’t tab in so it flops around during handling. Also it feels like you are bending the plastic panels near the attachment points of the "skis"/landing skids when moving them into position. I'm glad I bought it since it is always nice to have some variety on display and not just blue/white/red Gundam suits on your shelves. Now give me a Skygrasper, Bandai; pretty please.

Is the landing gear mechanism linked to the one lowering the nosecone? So when when you lower the landing gear you simultaneously lower the nosecone.

Thanks. It was just an example for another marketplace that I thought people are familiar with in the US. In Europe there are other platforms where you can buy from private sellers but point taken.

I’m planning to buy an USC Super Star Destroyer (10221) from the aftermarket. Since it will be a pricey purchase I wonder what my best option would be? Bricklink prices seems to be in the medium range and I assume that the buyer feedback is a good indication of the sellers reputation given it is smaller and more focused marketplace. On ebay the prices seem to be on the high side but it offers additional protection through ebay itself. However, I heard some reports that scammers found some ways around the buyer protection. On other platforms like Craigslist prices seems to be the lowest but I assume that the chances are much higher being scammed than on the other two platforms. Does anyone on this board has any recommendations or experiences using these platforms when buying high priced items?

Well, my shelves are full anyways… That said it would be great if either Bandai would make the TWE items available everywhere in the world or if they release all molds as a retail item first and put the repaints into the TWE. But this is not what will happen is it? At the moment, most Metal Build releases are not available at regular retail. On that note:

Maybe the person should have invested less in GN Arms and more in nice shelves or cabinets instead.

I understand that there is no reference for having the tiger stripes over the whole body but to me it is a case were it would make sense to have it all over dinosaur mode and it would make the toy more coherent. I'm sure Hasbro didn’t paint the stripes for "accuracies" sake and not for some petty reasons like saving money. It just looks bland and honestly quite cheap. It is just not what I would have imagined when we first heard about Tigerstripe Grimlock.- 16945 replies

Is there anyone that is not disappointed that the tiger stripes aren’t running throughout Grimlock's body? I found it shocking that it is only on the lower legs.- 16945 replies

I’m looking forward to the Providence Gundam. Finally a new mold that is not a re-shell (like the Deathscythe Hell), a remold (like the Gold Frame) or a straight up repaint (like the Patchwork Crossbone). I wonder if it will be a regular release or a TWE. I think the last regular one was the Exia Revise. Makes me think that Bandai is shifting the majority of MB releases to be TWEs for an unknown reason. Maybe for preventing scalping, over production, over saturation? But probably only the over production part really concerns Bandai.

Nice Gunpla @anubis20! I never liked posing my Gunpla. Always something fell off and they often need stands to hold the up; especially the more elaborated designs.

Did Hasbro ever released a "regular" black Classified Baroness that was not locked behind a store exclusive motorcycle bundle?

I think the Arlong from the trailer emphasizes what is wrong with the visuals: many One Piece characters have a unique physique that don’t translate well to live action. It is just too odd. So either you tone that element down quite a bit and reimagine a lot about the world. Or, you go all out on the designs (which is probably too expensive for Netflix). At the moment the world depicted in the trailers sits somewhere in the middle. It looks super awkward.

Yeah I agree with you that the shown figures don’t male much sense to me. Still my fear was that they wouldn’t release any more Marvel characters since we had no new announcements recently. So even if they are not the figures I would want fist, I’m glad that they are continuing the line.

That Captain America will look awesome on my MvC shelf. And new Marvel releases mean that the hope is alive that the will complete the X-Men teams they started.

It seems like the Ultra Magnus took a lot of inspiration from the Masterpiece version. But the Studio Series heute one has a way better head sculpt.- 16945 replies
