No, that one was from the source that the wiki entry came from. -
Castlevania: Lords of Shadows
Metal_Massacre_79 replied to Duke Togo's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This is copied from the source of the wiki statement: Lords of Shadow was actually announced at last year's Games Convention, a title to be developed by Madrid-based Mercury Steam and originally pitched as the foundation of a new "action-adventure IP." Looks like that might have changed, as the game may have been retrofitted to be a new Castlevania game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. -
Castlevania: Lords of Shadows

After watching the GoW preview on PSN, then watching the LoS trailer, I couldn't help feeling like I was watching the same thing. That combat cross looks a lot like the Blades of Chaos when it's in action. I'm a huge fan of GoW and Castlevania, so I'll probably end up getting both, however I don't want to go from one game to another that is so close in game play. I don't want to be bored with it from the start. From Wikipedia: "It was originally titled Lords of Shadow with no connection to the Castlevania series." -
Looking for a good sci-fi/fantasy book

I enjoy pretty much anything by the dynamic duo of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Especially their books in the Dragon Lance series (D&D). List of Dragon Lance books I've read all of these and enjoyed them from cover to cover. -

I know. It's going to be hard to explain that one to my son after I JUST bought him the Blurr figure today (he hasn't seen the season 3 vids that were linked yet) -
I need some help. A long time ago, I bought a G1 Blaster on eBay, and the tape door wouldn't open. I've since taken it apart and got the buttons to work properly, but now the damn door won't stay closed unless I keep tapping it to get the locking arm to fall again. I'm thinking that another spring is missing from inside, but I don't know where it would/should go. If anyone has a fix, or has a fully working Blaster that they'd be willing to take apart and snap a photo of the inside, I'd really appreciate it.

A new one from Cannibal Corpse (Evisceration Plague) is being released in early February. I'm looking forward to that, as well as the Centuries of Torment DVD that my wife is picking up as a belated b-day present for me. Probably not a lot of people on here that are into that kind of music though...

25th Anniversary G.I. Joes, Wave II

FYI, I was just at my local Target yesterday and I swear there were 5-6 of each on the shelf. They also had 3-4 of those $65 battle sets. If you're interested, I can swing by and pick some up for you. -
If a crappy G1 toy is a reason to make an MP version, I think Ironhide would win hands down. The G1 version completely sucked since it looked nothing like the cartoon. The only Ironhide I've seen come close is the newest one. Given that each of the triple changer's modes are so different from the rest (i.e. tank to plane to robot, or train to space shuttle to robot, etc) I think that too many parts would need to be hidden somehow and it'd be nearly impossible to pull it off.

I had a nice little surprise waiting for me today in the mail box. Two killer soundtracks from Castlevania's "Lament of Innocence" and "Curse of Darkness." Over 100 tracks of vampire slaying musical goodness.

What are you dressing up as on Halloween?

I've always wanted be Pennywise from It. I found a good costume of him, and I've got plenty of pictures to get the facepaint just right, but I'd have to shave my 10" goatee off and that just ain't happening. Maybe I'll do it in the future when I start going bald or something. I'll probably just park my butt on the porch and pass out the candy. -
It's old, but still funny.

This is bad. This is VERY bad. I may have to sell of my wife and son to see this show.

Now there's a band I've not listened to in a while. My best of CD "Prime Cuts" got so scratched that it wouldn't play anymore, and I haven't been able to find it around here.

I am a fan of everything before Burton died. Jason Nutsweat can't play a bass to save his life. Burton was a major influence for me to start playing bass. Speaking of which, I've got a nice red Yamaha 5-string that isn't getting a lot of attention lately. I need to pick it up and play more often.

I don't know how these guys slipped under my metal radar, but I heard them on the radio a few days ago and was completely blown away! I immediately went out and got Inhuman Rampage and have been listening to it non-stop. I'm planning on getting the newest one as soon as I get paid this week.

Anyone remember the attention whore? Quadrono or something like that, who insisted that Yamato make a special version of a figure in her honor because she thought she was the best at some game or another? -

DUDE! Bulkhead friggin' ROCKS! Stopped by TRU today and nabbed on for my son, and I'm really impressed with how they made him. The foot/wheel thing is really clever and I'm blown away by just how much he looks like the cartoon. -

Scored a Ratchet tonight and also seen Blackarachnia in Wally World this evening. I would imagine they had BB and Prime there earlier but I didn't have time to check. -
Comic packs are easy to find in my area, but finding them with the Doc sticker still inside is a PITA.

I'm liking all of wave 9, except for SS. The black and gold outfit just doesn't do it for me. Bazooka & Snow Serpent are the ones I'm most interested in.

Seems like Hasbro has a lot of figures for sale in their online store. Why not start there?
