Aw are you guys really afraid of Chie :3 she looks harmless I really enjoyed all the stories of what goes on at Macross concerts. The part about Megumi Nakajim crying after singing the song Yoko Kanno wrote for her was just proof of life imitating the moe arts. -

I would contact Shapeways to see if they can send you some better parts in exchange. That's a pretty major deviation. Recently they sent out a survey to shop owners to see what they need to work on and I was sure to emphasize tighter tolerances.

It almost looks like you homogenized the VF-1S head with the VF-0S head with the way the laser cannons stick out a bit on the side of the head. Also have you seen the redesigned VF-1S head from the Ultimate Frontier UMD movie? It's a bit more TV but also has some other modern touches.

Does Tenjin defeat the bad guys through self deprecating humor and sarcasm :3 At least he understands how to make a Valkyrie that isn't terrible looking in fighter mode like the VF-2SS.

It's just three screws on the backplate. They can be taken off on your way to replacing the shoulders.

To be honest, I just went ahead and replaced the hinges on all of my VF-1s. Having such sturdy parts in that area makes transforming them more fun. http://www.shapeways.com/materials/white_strong_flexible Here is all the information on the Strong White Flexible. Personally, I've only used the normal white or dyed parts. Never the polished.
