  1. There's really just the three episode Akane Maniax OVA which is based on a prequel to Muv-Luv Extra. It's still the high school romance part but it has plenty of robots in a pretty hilarious way.
  2. http://www.shapeways.com/model/463232/kanzen-henkei-1-60-scale-fighter-variable-hinge.html They're all safe. forever
  3. Muv-Luv Extra is much less lewd than Frontier :v
  4. More for me then.
  5. Guys maybe we should just cut out the middleman and collect Muv-Luv stuff instead because most of that stuff is cheaper and is more readily available. Who needs jets that turn into robots when they have jets that ARE robots?
  6. http://collectiondx.com/blog/vf5ss/veef_show_episode_51_retrospective_yamato_toys We got another one that was about half a year in the making. Renato and I discuss Yamato Toys now that it's kinda sorta gone away.
  7. And how.
  8. I would say you could argue that is true for Macross toys, but the franchise itself hasn't really been dependent on toys for a long, long time. Music is still the real bread winner and now with character toys becoming a firmly established market, robot toys are not nearly as necessary as they were in the 1980's. Back when low toy sales would cause a sponsor to pull its funding from a show.

    Macross 30

These youngins forgot about the glory of a cassette tape.
  10. It would have to be Toho since their name is all over a Clash of the Bionoids (or Super Spacefortress Macross) tape. The dub actors are some of the same ones found in their early kaiju movie dubs too.
  11. Did somebody call for a Veef?!
  12. I think that's just them showing their back catalog in the Variable Action line. Like a "look at all the great stuff we've made!" promo.
  13. Maybe they just liked the design.
  14. The original Silverbolt was loads better than this. If they dressed up the chest plate more like intakes and made the arms a little more like engines or something but his underside is pretty clean. It's not a Concorde, but at least it affects a somewhat streamline appearance. G1 Silverbolt even has engines on his legs to make to make them look more like something when stowed in jet mode. This new one seems like a bad design all around. The robot underneath doesn't look like anything at all. It's just geewun blocks with no payoff. It's even less streamlined than Classics Silverbolt.
  15. I call shenanigans. Shenanigans I say!
  16. Yeah that one was more a really sweet action master that they at the last minute remember it had to transform :v
  17. You need to learn how to appreciate the elegant simplicity of Metroplex.
  18. HEY DAVE! THAT'S WHAT METROPLEX LOOKS LIKE!
  19. Where's my goddamn Detonator Orgun!
  20. http://www.shapeways.com/model/889830/4fin.html I haven't tested it so we'll see if it comes back with a no print notice. It may require some work to get it to fit right.
  21. If you watch Tomino's previous work with L-Gaim you'll find it's basically more of the same goofiness. He tends to alternate between serious shows and more lighthearted fare. A lot of characters in both Zeta and ZZ have parallels in L-Gaim. Like Gablae is basically Mashymre right down to being the prettiest pretty boy.
  22. That amount of Valkyrie might break the paper it's drawn on.
  23. Still plugging away. A few more details and I should be able to try for another print!
