    Are you trying to suggest that 3d printing will go away in 20 years? I think you need to rethink the mental gymnastics you keep bringing into every Yamato bash you do because it's getting worse each time. I hope your Bandai Valkyries last 20 years because my first Ozma Valkyrie could even last one :v

    yeah i don't think Danbickell is going to change much now that he has the nose perfect. It's not like once you get the rest of the machine you can't make minor adjustments to say the feet to get the right length. Maybe you should have started with the Bandai High Complete Model 1/72nd scale toy instead of the 1/55 since we keep telling you how the latter is inaccurate.

    I started working on the new hinge part. I don't think it will be as difficult to get working because this has fewer tricky curves.

    If you wanted to get really pedantic, you could accuse them of just stealing ideas from the Macross Hobby Handbook which is full of Valkyrie/ Destroid kitbashes.

    sorry for the lack of updates. i came down with the con flu after Anime Boston. As it stands the articulated thumb seems to be too fiddly to do in shapeways at this small of a scale. The articulated knuckles work alright barring shapeways deleting the hole that's supposed to be there. I'm not sure if I can make the hand fold up enough to fit inside the forearm so i'm wondering would you guys be interested in plug in hands that work or do you want me to keep at trying to get them to fold up?

    And we told you that you can't use the 1/55th as your base because it doesn't accurately reflect the design down in the nitty gritty details. You don't use a Transformer if you want to model up the perfect Lamborghini Countach ;3 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=34651&p=959725 and danbickell did it using the 14 meter figure and it seems to work fine.
