  1. I didn't think I sounded too whiney. I was talking about how much I love Gyunei and how masculine Char was. You're missing the point, Jeremy. Life on earth has been shown to be pretty resilient. Something will survive even if it's just bacteria that eats fallout or something. The whole point is to remove people from the planet and if that includes most earth life with it, so be it.
  2. The problem with determining the actual height of the VF-1 in Battroid mode is that ideally you would have a model that was transformed from a fixed length fighter mode and once it transformed you could then measure the overall height. It's kind of backwards to stipulate a height for each mode and then work backwards hoping it all makes sense. Since fighter mode is the most fixed in terms of dimensions, you really only need that to figure out the sizes of the other modes because their dimensions should come naturally from the original fixed dimensions. There's also the problem of where do you measure the head height? Tip of the laser? It can move. Top of the head? I know in Five Star Stories they even measure from the robot's shoulders. The V2 is still 1/60 scale as in it is 1/60 the size of the given dimensions.
  3. As long as Texas colony has plenty of horses, Char doesn't care.
  4. The whole point is to get the human beings off the planet so it can heal. Killing everything on the planet still leaves the planet itself to rebuild. The planet doesn't really care if it gets hit with an asteroid.
  5. Retcon is the new Mary Sue.
  6. Shadow Chronicles was really terrible. It's not even good enough to be a sequel to Mospeada.
  7. Doing a movie is fine, but Sunrise needed to stop hamstringing the story with weird demands. No Char in ZZ (he's in the opening)? No Beltorchika? CCA doesn't even have any real connection to Zeta. It plays out like a direct sequel to the original movies. I mean, if you're gonna spare Camille from his fate and eventually make him Seabook's mom, at least let him pilot the Re-GZ and not female Roy Focker (or Sleggar in this case).
  8. The overall design is a lot tighter too. The hands, the new head, the little details, etc.
  9. Why is his artwork so bad?
  10. The cockpit is completely different.
  11. I dunno. The VF-0 is pretty blocky. The intakes and engines are really squared off and the whole thing is full of bumps on the dorsal side. The DYRL VF-1 is just as slick as the VF-0. The TV design should be best forgotten.
  12. I blame Sunrise and Bandai.
  13. flew pretty well for a 1950's VTOL. Out of all of the transforming flying robots out there, Valkyries do offer a most plausible flight form. As opposed to say The Zeta Plus which is probably Gundam's best offer in the area of transforming flying robots.
  14. This movie should have been all Re-GZ all the time. I can't get enough Riggajee!
  15. He's a musicsexual.
  16. Having a different opinion is not trolling.
  17. No it's not. It's the truth. Why would you spend hundreds of dollars on something you can't get replacement parts for if you live outside of Japan? We know the risks. We know how Yamato fixes their Macross products for people who live in Japan. Why bitch at what you can't change?
  18. Stop importing gray market toys if you're gonna bitch so much.
  19. Man, all that text on those wiki pages is just taken from the Robotech Reference Guide. fart that noise. All those stats are made up.
  20. Mikhail is a Zolan. That's what the novel says.
  21. I think a big part of the problem was ADV's pricing. $99 is not what you want to be charging to get people to buy a boxset of a show they've never heard of before. Especially one that is only 23 episodes. That kept the casual buyers away.
  22. It's only as big as a Perfect Grade Gundam or a 1/12 scale Scopedog. Granted, it has a bit more depth but still.
