  1. I thought they made the escape ship a colonization vessel just for the prospects of setting up a Macross-esque situation with civilians on board. Not that it was terrible relevant to the story since they pulled out for the last five minutes.
  2. Did anyone put it up on the interwebs?
  3. He's Mr. MacGuffin now, remember?
  4. Is there any footage of Robotech 3000?
  5. Because Jeremy and his crew got the show covered.
  6. If you need a good heavy lawn dart, the old toys are awesome.
  7. Haha. That's Rick Hunter's new name, Mr. MacGuffin. I guess he's more relevant if you've read the novels or the Sentinels comics right? I mean he gets to be a main character and not perpetually off screen like in the show itself. Isn't it all pretty meaningless anyways? Resources are totally irrelevant to Macross's plot so there's not much setup to be had there. In Southern Cross the Protozor is what makes the Zor's society work even though it has little to do with the spiffy robots and pew pew lasers. For Mospeada the HBT is mostly a plot device for why the crew isn't flying their surprisingly well maintained airplanes everywhere. Where's the fuss coming from?
  8. One thing I never understood about Robotech's "Netron S" thing is that in Mospeada those missiles are called "Electrically Charged Particle Missile" which is totally not what a neutron is. They had a two out of three shot of getting it right going on basic atomic structure. Also the way Robotech fans adore Rick Hunter is downright fetishistic. Then again its understandable when the show's narrative dangles him like a carrot in front of the fans all the time. The way they made him the MacGuffin in Shadow Chronicles is absolutely hilarious.
  9. Fight facts with facts guys...
  10. Right. The plot was also really generic even with the Robotech trappings. The fact they brought in Mark Hamill and made him do his Wing Commander catchphrase for the trailer makes me think the whole thing felt more like a mid 90's era space sim. The awful graphics don't help. Guess what? Those are totally dead too.
  11. He means the Haydonite stuff which was all super generic sci-fi.
  12. Wasn't it in Funimation's top ten bestsellers?
  13. Which makes him the worst kind of Robotech fan. The part with the most butchering of all means you've got fanboys running around trying to make entrails into space opera magic. Just look at 1st Border Red Devil.
  14. One time Doug actually chopped up the episode of DAPDX where we discussed Macross and made it so he would interject with "that's all from Robotech!" like Robotech inspired Macross through the magic of time travel and the end of circle. Also he's one of those idiots who always refers to Robotech as "the original 85 episode!"
  15. People have been hating Kawamori since Macross 7 because he's not continuing the franchise in the way they want it. This Ohnogi nugget is just a way for them to keep branding him as the George Lucas of anime.
  16. FASA didn't get their licenses from Studio Nue or Big West. This is from here. do you really want the return of this?
  17. Hell yeah! I love the Sega Saturn games.
  18. No game that stars a man named Grave Accel whose personal logo is a rooster with shades can be called crappy.
  19. Just make it play like
  20. Man screw you guys. Front Mission Gunhazard was awesome and this is gonna be sweet :3
  21. Oh man. They must love taking stuff from a website full of made-up fan BS and another website full of made-up fan BS that hasn't been updated in eleven years.
  22. There's a 1/144th scale Kazen Henkei toy. The GFFM Zeta Plus is 1/100 scale so its the same size as the MG kit.
