  1. Phi-Bon
  2. do we count Marvel and DC direct to video stuff as being OVAs now
  3. there were still no Astro Plan baddie toys
  4. oh thank you, uxi i thought making toys and a new animation production would be really hard
  5. are you serious "worthy of robotech" what does that even mean worthy of being a bad dub of 1980's mecha?
  6. hate the game, not the player guys stop attacking some dead guy's widow
  7. Awesome. Takara is using some STUDIO HALF EYE level magic to make Hot Rod and Rodimus the same toy. It's a good thing they have the same robot mode in the show. It's also good that both of their G1 toys were incredibly simplistic. Now all it needs is a display that plays Judd Nelson voice samples and Stan Bush music.
  8. is this good kibble or bad kibble it looks like all of that will snap together a lot more cleanly on the final product. the resin prototype is probably all floppy and that stand is in the way too either way, this rodimus can light my darkest hour any time
  9. I believe in eugimon.
  10. Zakus are from Gundam which is the most popular robot show in Japan. Also all the Zakus had characters attached to them. Never forget Slender Denim Jeans.
  11. where's the proof it would be a good seller? Speculating on the various ways it can be displayed alongside other toys doesn't prove anything. Neither does comparing it to an American toy line that is built on a high volume of figures. In Japan it's all about space and getting hero characters. Think about how many Gundam toys there are and how few grunts outside of the original series got toys. The Regult is exactly like the Queadluun Rau in that it is more of a novelty item for the typical Japanese collector. Mecha without a character associated with them sell extremely poorly in Japan. Just look at the kind of stuff that gets discounted on online retailers. Look at the Revoltech Regult. It was always the last one to sell out. In Japan, the more eccentric collectors who wanted enemy mecha usually just built resin kits or found cheap old figures. Yamato is just serving those guaranteed buyers for a weird figure.
  12. i'm pretty happy with my double nuts figure also i don't think they're going to bother with any new version right when they're about to re-issue it their 1/60 pantheon is pretty fixed at this point
  13. If you talking about the CM's release, they were just going through the motions. If you look at their catalog, they do not favor one particular series over the rest. They're making new Acrobunch toys for pete's sake
  14. Mospeada is dead, Jim. Tatsunoko doesn't care anymore. Just another semi-forgotten Macross ripoff.
  15. you should have asked her to berate Basara or praise Gamlin-san
  16. They need to make this come out next month. It looks perfect. to be fire!
  17. It'd be interesting to see whether or not they make a Hot Rod/ Rodimus "body" that has a self contained transformation into a car. Otherwise I'm sure you could just fiddle with the "cab" part of Rodimus so it works well as a car and have removable panels for Hot Rod's legs. Work in a flip-out engine and you have two toys in one.
  18. That's not really a blueprint so much as a teaser image. Neither mode seems to have much in common in terms of proportion. It almost looks like someone just did an orthographic drawing of the Metalverse Hot Rodimus and the old toy.
  19. bomber hugs <3
  20. It's a pretty sweet piece. I honestly don't know who is going to review the Fire Valkyrie when it comes out.
  21. but i love you
  22. How can you separate the shows when they use the same footage and have 95% the same story? Is that 5% that makes it different really that important? Have you watch the shows in their original format? Once you do, you'll see how pointless the Robotech story is.
  23. It will be displayed in Battroid only because they only have one prototype jeez It's gonna be all three modes of awesome. Have some faith in Yamato for once.
  24. why are you watching robotech again? japan has been doing the animated space opera shtick for almost 40 years now maybe you should just check out some of that stuff
  25. they were crane game toys they're worth maybe a few hundred yen
