Caught a burglar red-handed in my house!
nemesis120 replied to Majestic's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
While it is good that he got arrested and all, I'd reccomend not doing that in the future (I'd also not reccomend using more force than necessary as they could sue you, and even though they probably wouldn't win anything, lawyers are expensive). I've known two people that had family members killed by resisting burglars. A few years ago I saw someone breaking into a car in front of my building. Called the cops (they guy moved on) and like 5 minutes later there were half a dozen cops in front of my building with the guy. Fortunately everything was recovered. -
If people want me to, I can scan the stuff in. I'd just need a place to host it (I can e-mail it to someone that can host it). While it is pretty decent, it's not worth the $15.

This might not count, but you don't have the special (well, not really) Battroid Parts. There supposedly (I'm not really a model person) were some problems on the VF-1 Battroid Valkyrie kit (not the super or strike) that were corrected on the later ones, and Hasegawa released parts to correct this (supposedly event only parts).

All of the 1/100s are rare, although the Takatokus are rarer than the Bandai 1/100 VF-1A. Price for them depends on the usual stuff (condition of everything, even if everything's there), but the Takatokus are $40-$60, although when they're in good condition they go for a lot (primarily due to one person on ebay). There were 4 1/100 Takatoku Variants VF-1J Hikaru VF-1J Max VF-1S VF-1A

While I'm glad Romero's making another movie, I somehow doubt it will be good. Not that I won't see it.

I also have The Distance one. It's a really well made (as in the song actually corresponds to the scenes) video. And I remember the Metallica Blitzkrieg one, although they didn't have the best source for it (recorded off of scifi). I believe there was another Macross Plus one with some song from Blink 182, but I don't remember which song.

Is there something I'm not getting about this?

If you want diecast in a Yamato, go with a Nomura Yamato. The thing is like half diecast, but it doesn't have the gimmicks.

The first is an Orguss Orgroid. In the second picture, (left to right) a Destroid defender, destroid spartan, and a destroid phalanx, all in the Matchbox colors

I think everyone's that way, although I remember, you actually got a GBP. And who wouldn't want Bandai to reissue that (or any of the other stuff they haven't reissued)? Of all the Valkyrie toys, the GBP, Hikaru's strike, the elintseeker and the super ostrich have all retained a good amount of their value, even though Yamato has released versions of them.

I'd definitely say the second one got out of hand. But, in all honesty, I'd say all this got a little out of hand. People are saying how posting in other forums (here on MW) is a sign someone isn't here to scam people and how doing trades and selling with others is a sign they aren't here to scam people (pretty hard to trade if nobody is willing to trade or buy from you). And last time I checked, this guy obviously scammed other people and was smart about it (empty boxes, tracking numbers). But I've had people accuse me of scamming them and that kind of crap (on ebay) and that definitely shouldn't be tolerated, and people having a hissy fit about shipping is just crap, as it is part of what you spend on the item. -

If anyone really wants the magazine, here's the amazon.co.jp link for it. They ship internationally, and you can make the checkout and signup stuff in english (I think, I just have it down from before so I don't bother). btw if you're in the US and you order, I'd go with the surface shipping - always gets to me in a week or so. http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/tg/det...8632169-0398703

You woudn't guess where I got my Macross DVD from
nemesis120 replied to VF-18S Hornet's topic in Movies and TV Series
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's in Newark, DE. I used to work there when I was in college (ah .... college). It was a big draw for folks in Philly, DE, and Maryland since there's no sales tax. I hadn't thought of that place in years. Small world. Eh.. yeah I meant Newark Delaware not Wilmington. As much as I hate to say it, I'm pretty sure it's not in Newark. Can't stand the place either (Concord mall is still crap but there's tons of stores up there). Definitely a small world since I actually go to UD (friggin hate that place - a day late for a tuition payment and they flip out but they wait like 3 months to reimburse you for anything). -
On that same note, here's an example of his C-10+++ and MIB (yeah, in the USPS box) crap http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3193820327

This weekend, I found some random models I bought on ebay a few months ago, one of which was an Imai 1/100 vf-1a armored valk. The parts are still sealed and all, but it has a seperate english instruction set (in addition to the instructions in the bags). As in the instructions, except entirely in english (from the way they look, it's obvious that its actual instructions), with the color guide in like half a dozen languages. It's also got a made in japan sticker on the front (something a manufacturer needs to put on it if they're exporting it to the us). Does anyone else have this with english instructions, or did I just stumble on to something rare (I've never seen or heard of it with english instructions)?

He obviously took of some of the parts on the Zeta. As to how he actually got the thing to balance, I would like to know.
-
I lost everything installing a CD burner, after that everything wound up partitioned. Haven't lost anything important since then, and we're talking like 5 windows reinstalls.
-
Nope, it's the real deal.

Considering the things price tag, it's a decent thing this is pretty close to going away. It's rediculously expensive, the project has had huge cost overruns, and there's not much out there that can challenge our current fighters. Not to mention the fact that the September 11th people showed that you can spend all you want on defense, but if you don't spend it in the right way, it's worthless (this program and missile defense come to mind).
-
Now all Rob has to do is make the Regult in 1/72 (no more 1/100!) too (along with the scout, large and small missile options).
-
This is absurd, although only because I got it for $5.00. The guy probably doesn't want to know how much he could have gotten if it were actually labeled correctly. But then again, I'm glad I was able to get a 1/48 variable Calibur (and the armored vf-1a, which I really don't care about) for $5 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEBBI:IT

There's more info about his shill bidding accounts (as well as how to report him for shill bidding to eBay) on this page of the blacklist thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=172&st=140 I know about that, but using buy it now with your shill bidding account and bidding against yourself with the shill bidding accounts doesn't make sense, does it? And, as for people letting bluealpha know about some of the elintseeker stuff, obviously arafat knew about it and he probably still visits the forums (even if they banned his ip, it's not that hard to get another around it)
-
Did we ever prove that bluealpha247 is arafat? Because I doubt it for 2 reasons. For one, bluealpha used BIN on some of his other auctions, and his actual shill bidding account was bidding against this account for the auction, which wouldn't make much sense.
