Damn, I got the first of the 5 parts and then they removed the whole lot! Anyone saved them or can I find them elsewhere? -
Closest I can think of is Slam Dunk? About 99% there?

Well, we have people in the US always complaining about the Republicans/ Democrats/ Liberals/ Conservatives/Creationists too. The point is that the majority are happy enough not to want to seek to overthrow the govt. There will always be an extremely unhappy minority and a big majority who are unhappy about some things, but not enough to want to take to the streets. Goes for any country. -

Exactly! The PLAN's expertise in Carrier Ops right now is not even at the USN's 1945 level. They need to catch up on 60 years, with no Korea/Vietnam/Iraq etc war experience along the way to test them as well. I think the US military brains' know how big the gap is. But they have to harp on every little thing the PLA does to grab more funding. Like how they played up the F-15s' 'losing' to the Su-30MKIs' to make an excuse for more FA-22s'. -

Huh? I don't find anything discrete about how the biggest Superpower makes it's military points. I can imagine the USA raising the same fuss if China had tested an airborne laser. Or spent several hundred billion on a new fleet of steath fighters. Or built a few Carrier Battle Groups. Or intercontinental stealth bombers. Or missile defence shields. -
Use only AV actresses for all the other female roles. That should settle it. And plese.... keep Devon Aoki away from it!

I suppose a space capable fighter isn't going to be sexy like in our favourite animes. I mean, if they strapped a current generation 1 or 2 shot laser weapon onto the shuttle/orbiter, its a space fighter too. I am more interested to see what a true reusable spacecraft would be like. (i.e. take off under own power, acheive orbit and back) -
Wiki has a pretty good summary of Elfenlied. And the title 'Elfenlied' is one of those Japanese manga/anime names where its chosen due to cool sounds rather then any link to the story!

Full Power to Shields

How do these shields affect outgoing fire though? Does fire control have to lower them for a moment to let attacks go out? -

I hope they squeeze in the Joe vs Ken fight. And have Joe whup Ken's butt nice. Wonder which of the 3 God Phoenixes they would use? A new design? I personally like the 2nd one best. -

Full Power to Shields
Retracting Head Ter Ter replied to Knight26's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The problem with using the term 'Force _Field_' is that unlike common movie interpretations where the incoming shot seems to hit an invisible wall, a field should dissipate the incoming shot over a distance. Do you want the 'shield' to be a 'wall' or a 'field'? How about doing away with shields and have energy reinforced armour? You know, like in Macross Zero. Something along the lines of pumping energy to strengthen the molecular bonds of the armour material. Not sure what happens to the incoming energy then, lots of dissipated heat I guess. -

HELL YEAH!!! PHOENIX ATTACK!!!! -
I have given up on the Aliens franchise long ago! Why must all these sci-fi movies come packaged with some county sheriff, chick teenager, drunk father/farmer, innocent young boy, small town folk stereotypes etc etc. I really hope Cameron would just go and make a Starcraft movie and give us lotsa Big Gun wielding Terran Marines in armour hosing down Zergs by the bucketful while the Protoss Carriers and Terran Battlecruisers duke it out in orbit courtesy of ILM.

Have about 6 1/48s. Only opened 1 so far! Waiting for new place before I break em all out. No breakage on that _one_. But had the famous 1/48 hip socket rubber ring problem. Have 1 1/60 VF-0. No problems so far. I have been real gentle with it though.

Yamato's 1/60 SV-51.
Retracting Head Ter Ter replied to UN Spacy's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Is it possible that the Japanese buyers are not reporting arm breakage problems due to the fact that most of us outside Japan are receiving our goods through HK and we are getting the 'Lou Shi For' (or Rat's Goods in English) with lower QC? Which also means Yamato is receiving lower figures for their int'l sales then actual. -
haha! Prepare for a feast and bring some extra crates and credit cards! You should pay 50-75% of what online retailers charge. Make a trip to their TRU's as well. Their TRU's have sale items at crazy prices when they want to clear stock. Judging by your nick, you are a Zoid collector too? They have nice OJR stuff there, but its not cheap.
