The model is done, not very well done (didn't optimized the polycount, should be around 4000 and the proportions are not 100% ok), just need to UV and texturize it and insert into game. 30% done i would say. I searched in youtube and only found attacks for Ideon, the sword that comes out from its hands, the blue gun and the missiles that comes out from its arms and legs. I can say that the sword and the missiles could be easily done, the blue gun i would have some big problems to do the "tsunami" that comes out of it. Also can't figure out where is the thruster or the engines. Sorry for using this topic this way. If you have some good pics of Ideon (front, back, top, side) i will do it. Just can't promisse to deliver it quickly.

Gunbuster is working now. Not 100%, but i can get it in-game now. Need to fix its arms&legs movements (it doesn't move all the time). Don't know if it will work. At least the head rotates. It wasn't a problem in the model, it is just that the relic tools sux. It came to work by NOT using the "oficial relic sdk way". Screenshots: ---EDIT--- Now it can move it's arms perfectly. Just need to add the engine glow and few little details and it should be finished.

It is an existing HW2 map. I exported the hod with 0 errors or warnings, all the excel files also were exported without problems. The problem is when i try to load a skirmish game, the game just crash, i don't get into game.

I've been working on a Gunbuster to be exported to HW2, but i couldn't make it work without crashing the game. It's all done, the model, the goblin, the lod, the texture, .ship file, .wepn, exported to .hod still can't make it work without crashing while loading the map, anyway if you want i could try to help you guys with the project, but i really don't know at all how to mod HW2.

If i had money to buy this config, i would wait until ATI releases the R600 and more DX10 benchmarks. And i would get an abit motherboard instead of MSI, they have the reputation of being better for OC.

As long as it doesn't have Basara or singing whales it will be ok!!!!

They should remake the original macross series, remain the original sound/voice, just remake the series with almost the same animation quality of DYRL, of course with some "redesign" of the VF-1, the flight suits, Misa's hair, etc..

Last year I posted a gunbuster 3d model to be exported to HW2 but didn't finished it, only now i retook the project, just finished the U/V mapping thing and now may i ask you guys 2 things?? is the colour is ok?? and if anyone could provide a good lineart with some exterior details?? i would really apreciate. Unless there is some exterior detail i will have to make up some unexisting details or the model will look poor when compared to others HW2 ships. Thank you.

I guess there are no limits for macromedia flash, i did once a small macross animation, can't upload now because i cracked my cpu core and it is impossible to find any AMD socket A to buy, now i'm using a old notebook thus i can't acess any files on my hd or dvd backup... What i did was instead of saving in .swf i just exported to .avi using divx or xvid. So if you draw all the frames and background on photoshop you can almost do anything you want. Anyway good luck with your project.

Looks good. And be carefull with your avatar, i think the moderator prohibited animated ones. Are you planning to render it at maya or 3dmax or blender??? I think the same model could look much better with them. Anyway good luck with your book.

So you figured out that she looks like a Final Fantasy character, that's probably because i builded this model around a Tifa/FF7 model i'm doing. In fact i really wanted to do a more realistic Minmay but i may try later to follow up with a more anime face as you recommended. And i think i messed with the body, don't know what i did that changed the proportions. Here is the reference model i made, i think it has nice proportion, please correct me if i'm wrong. Thank you for your advices!!!

You should use the combined community codec pak, http://www.cccp-project.net/ no problems with .mkv files until now.

you can download maya personal learning edition, it is free, the only diference is the render, but the tools are the same.

they should make one that can walk on its own and can be remote controled or programed to shot at people. imagine a security patrol sentry gundam guarding your house. but it would cost 100x more...

The things i don't like about digital painting are that you need a good computer to work with high resolution and that there are some kind of things that i find dificult to create. Now i am mixing hand painting with digital painting.
