  1. Yep, the voice acting was cringe-worthy during a lot of scenes. That's my biggest gripe with the movie-I was really hoping for subtitles. Otherwise, the costumes and effects were well done considering the budget, and Kishimoto was a real cutie. The guys I went with who have never read Gantz seemed to enjoy themselves and are now curious about the manga.
  2. A couple of friends and I are gonna catch this in San Jose. It should prove to be interesting. Cheesy, yet interesting nevertheless Here is the theater listing: Gantz venues
  3. Yep, Iron Man is as good as bought if just to square off with my Revo Batman.
  4. I got the last Jazz in a Target over here. Like everyone else has said, he's pretty cool. I was considering fabricating a rear spoiler similar to the old Porsche 935's for his alt mode, but after getting a good look at how he transforms, it's gonna be a lot harder than I thought.
  5. An interesting concept: upload a 3-D model of something you would like made. If it's viable, these guys will fabricate it with a 3-D printer for you. A couple of hobbyists have already set up shop and are selling their creations from Warhammer 40K, Star Trek, and Transformers. Needless to say, there is some really cool stuff on the site for sale, especially in the Miniatures section.
  6. I like Daft Punk, and I loved the music they put together for this film. Actually, the whole soundtrack sounded really good. Overall, a good 3-D movie, but I would've liked more action sequences. Especially if they involved the tanks. And yes, it felt really laggy at times but I couldn't get my mind off one thing: there's roast pork in the Grid?
  7. Man, it's about time Kaiyodo: Revo Gunbuster Ack, nevermind. I didn't even see the Revoltech thread!
  8. 1/35 scale Assault Suit Leynos...I need this.
  9. Not happy with Voyager Bludgeon's head sculpt? Check out Headrobot's new project: Blood.
  10. We have a Rite-Aid here that still has a Classics Sunstreaker and a Galvatron on the peg. And both are still going for $13.99. As for Jazz and the missing paint apps, I'm pretty sure Reprolabels will do something about it. Heck, it didn't take 'em long to make flames for Tracks. (The yellow stickers on the feet make it look he's wearing flip flops.
  11. My peeve right now is any PS3 system update. Argh, nothing like a system update to blue-ball ya from some game time after coming home from a hard day.
  12. Cool, It doesn't sound like I'll miss out on too much by keeping my BPX.
  13. Sweet, thanks for the tip on the Almanac-I've been waiting for it to get back in stock.
  14. GT5 + Wangan Midnight soundtracks = good times
  15. He will be the reason that Phil Donahue will never be invited to the Academy Awards. Sad news indeed.
  16. No Tracks or Jazz over here, but I did see WFC Cliffjumper. Skullgrin and Thunderwing were also at a Target here in full force.
  17. That's quite a lot you got there; nice finds, especially Reflector. Aside from Ebay, there are places like this that'll give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for each of them : Transformerland. I've only bought from them however, so I can't comment on how much they'd give you for your TFs. Regardless, I don't think you're gonna have too much of a problem finding them a good home.
  18. Is anyone else sorely tempted to to get the Takara's United versions of the new figures? Overall they just look better, but those import prices are scaring me off. (Wheeljack looks so much better for that sculpt btw.)
  19. In the same vein, Binaltech's Alert also looks great with Alphonse. So does KISS Players Autorooper, but it's a pain to find.
  20. Curiosity got the better of me and I ended up getting the “Delicate Warrior” iGear is selling: I still don’t know who makes this figure, but it’s safe to say that it’s leagues better than Impossible Toys’ version. It’s very reminiscent of a kit that was sold in the 90’s. Paint apps are clean, joints are tight, and it has more feminine poise than IT’s Arcee. Its alt mode is kinda wonky, but bot mode looks great. Despite this, I still hope the rumors of a Generations Arcee come true.
  21. This actually looks better than I thought it would: Neo Rodimus Prime. It looks like it'll suit the Classics version of Rodimus better than the Henkei one. I just gotta take a better look at the head. From afar, it looks kinda off.
  22. The demo is just a sliver of what the game has to offer. However, there's nothing new in terms of mechanics; you'll get many flashbacks of Uncharted and Shadow of the Colossus. And if you're tired of the button mashing and magic from GoW and Dante's Inferno, then the combat system will be nothing new. If anything the combat system is more forgiving when it comes to timing compared to GoW. It's just wrapped up in a prettier package IMHO.
  23. Just went through this game yesterday. Sure it's a mish mash of several good games I've played within the past 5 years, but I had a blast with it. Gabriel's definitely a more appealing character than Kratos or Dante, and the visuals are gorgeous to boot. And the ending? Definitely an interesting one, and I won't go on to spoil it; but if Hideo Kojima had any influence on this game, I would say it shows at the very conclusion.
  24. Good find! Skystalker is the TF that made me fan of Scouts. Fun little bugger.
