  1. How shrewd of them. Hopefully that means it'll keep the cost down. Thanks, now I can't help but hear nom nom noises when I look at that pic. It's crazy, not too long ago I thought that FP's Bruticus was the best that I'd ever see of him. But this new one is hard to ignore.
  2. I doubt HG would do anything, it looks way off base from a valk. I do like it better than the other 3rd party Jetfire as it reminds me of the ship from Axelay.
  3. Woo hoo, The Price is Right-MW edition! Always a fun game. I'm thinking the new bird will be $300, $350 tops. Am I willing to pay that? I dunno, after the VF-4, I'm kinda valked out. I'd have no problem forking out $200 for it though.
  4. New MG Sazabi Ver Ka was announced. Since I'm a fan of all things Sazabi, this will be an insta-buy. And I WILL make time to build and paint it. After my MG Nu, after my MG Labors, and after my Valken kits, etc...
  5. So a new MG Sazabi Ver Ka was announced. Holy crap on a stick, just like that I'm into Gundam again. whoops, this is the FIGURE thread isn't it?
  6. Wow, it only took about 20 years for Orgun to get a kick ass figure. It looks like a killer toy, SuperHobo. It gives me hope that Sentinel will make toys of other mecha who are so in need of merchandise. I hope the Sentinel guys have played Xenogears...
  7. Out of all the proposed 3rd party projects that were revealed at TFCON, only Skyfire and FansProject's Roadbuster piqued my interest. Computron looks killer too.
  8. Indeed. Vagrant Story was quite an experience. Ashley's flashbacks/visions at the end nearly had me in tears. I too loved Xenogears, and it's just horrible how little mecha merchandise there is for it. I would like to see ID-Welltall is some sort of toy form. Speaking of mecha, I dusted off my PS2 and booted up the fan-translated Front Mission 5 again. I just cannot get enough of the simulator and am obsessed with farming every single wanzer part I can get from it.
  9. The new ED isn't "cute" anymore. Looks impressive enough, but will it be able to climb stairs?
  10. Now this Whirl, I like! Feet might be problematic though...
  11. Yes, indeed it does. All the toys came with stickers, actually. The last pic in the first photo set above shows the sticker sheet for the Big Porter. It contains the main yellow stripes and cockpit markings for the smaller vehicles. Don't hold your breath for a domestic DVD/BD set. I think Zillion is just too obscure a series to warrant a dedicated set. The fansubs out there are pretty good though.
  12. The MGs are great kits and they don't look too shabby either even when left unpainted. I have read several other hobbyists say that the overall sculpt of the MG Ingrams are "stretched" out, but it doesn't bother me, they still look awesome-especially the Griffon flight type. During the time they hit the market I was just glad that Patlabor got the MG treatment. So do pick them up if you don't mind assembling your toys. And don't count out the Revoltechs, they're fun little trinkets to tinker around with when shelf space is a commodity.
  13. Not too many choices in that price range, but the first things that come to mind are the various Kaiyodo Revoltech figures out there. I've also seen the Bandai Labor in Action Ingram for cheap, but that line was killed only after one toy.
  14. I just wish they'd finish the 1/60 Destroid line. As for valks, I'm gonna vote for the VF-2SS or the VF-5000. A remake of the 1/48 would get me back into the VF-1 scene, but I really have no problem with my 1/48 collection.
  15. From Botcon I heard some mention a new Whirl being worked on, but no pics so far. Is there any truth to that?
