  1. MP BB looks like an insta-buy. Wish I could say the same for MP UM. For now, the lower legs look real flimsy and hollow. Additionally, that flap hanging off his backside looks awful. I'm hoping it's just imperfections from a prototype.
  2. Ryu Hayabusa was soo squishy then. If a normal thug landed a full combo on him, it meant death. Yeah, that game was abnormally hard. My first one credit beating of a game came from this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=QOE5R1PWRMY Killer Zuntata tunes? Check. Fantabulous mecha design? Check. Awesome flying car with hidden modes that differ with each ending path? Check.
  3. I've heard they may even carry Robot Damashii figures down the line too. I'm guessing that anything Bluefin distributes for Bandai has the potential to show up inside a B&N. BTW, is there any news on when a MG Jesta Cannon will be coming out?
  4. A better experience would be to go to the local swap meet and get a working CRT TV and NES for less than $50. $500? Ridiculous. Congrats! I still haven't done it despite all the boring meetings I've been to. It's the perfect game to fight death by Powerpoint.
  5. Yeah, Zillion was a great game. I didn't know until years later it was a clone of Impossible Mission. As for DVDs, good luck. I had an easier time finding the toys. The fansub floating out there did a great job on the entire series though.
  6. Throwing Copper was one of the few albums I could listen to throughout without skipping tracks. Who wants some Japanese darkwave? Listening to the intro of this song for the first time brought out some Joy Division vibes: The singer is quite a hottie to boot.
  7. And time for another ludicrous cross-over: Evangelion meets Optimus.
  8. PG kits are in 1/60 scale, right? Holy crap this thing is gonna be huge. So will its price, I imagine.
  9. Finally got to see this; it's definitely one of the better Marvel movies so far. I loved the oomph that was given to Cap's strikes in the fight scenes. But man, Gary Shandling looks like a mess.
  10. If you just wanna fight it out with your favorite MS doubles team, then there's always Gundam Extreme Vs. Full Boost. It's kinda like a simplified Virtual On with Gundams instead of Virtuaroids.
  11. There WAS a SNES port of the Avengers game: Whether it was a good port is debatable...
  12. There's a clearer pic here on tfw2005 where the fully finished face can be seen. Nice, it even has ankle rockers.
  13. Start here. It's almost obligatory at this point. After all these years, I still get a chuckle out of it. I too am in favor of a new MP Hot Rod, no Rodimus, just Hot Rod-just to have his alt mode in scale with the other MPs.
  14. Not too long ago I sprung for the Sager NP8275 / Clevo P170SM, and I can't find a thing to complain about it. While I was shopping around I saw that the Sagers had great prices compared to other equally spec'ed gaming laptops. In the end, my choice boiled down to a MSI or Sager.
  15. We need some Weird Al in here (Key & Peele!): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=N9qYF9DZPdw I remember hearing a member of DEVO saying he was envious of the sound of this song: I caught his performances at a couple of county fair appearances, he puts on a good show and seems like good fella.
  16. I admit it was kinda weird watching the cockpit go "erect" during takeoff cutscenes in the game, but the overall coolness of the game just made me let it go. BTW, AmiAmi has discounted the Riobot Jehuty by 50%. IMO, it's the best Jehuty toy out there, and if I didn't have one already, I'd be all over that deal.
  17. Me too. Best I could do so far was two 512 tiles that I just couldn't bring together.
  18. I just might get that version after looking at several pics. It seems like it has a bolder red than the regular version, and the big honking bazooka it comes with looks killer. It's hardly fair comparing the sexy MG kit to its dinky RD counterpart, but RD's are great to have when shelf space is a commodity. That being said, I'd love to get the MG Sinanju, but that black and gold chest looks like a chore to paint and detail. And from what I've read, the gold etched linings that come with the kit are hard to work with, so I'm thinking the RD will scratch the Sinanju itch.
  19. Yep, RD Sazabi is great; lots of articulation and quite stable. I'm thinking of getting a RD Sinanju, but dunno if I should get the regular version or the animation version.
  20. HLJ came through - best Black Friday purchase EVER! And you guys are right, this bird is sooo pointy.
  21. Non rapid fire weapons AND a rotary joystick-that one was so hard on my hands even as a kid. It was like Ikari Warriors but much, much harder.
