  1. Yeah, Hova is still dead in the water. I'm hoping it's because of a redesign. Its legs looked like it needed work.
  2. MP Inferno rumors? The fact that the teaser is on Takara's mall website makes me think it may not be a rumor.
  3. I thought this kit was not gonna go through, but awesomely, I was mistaken. Now if only something like this could be made for Generations Jetfire.
  4. 1/17 would be around 7 inches? Seeing that one pic that shows how the prorotype is being propped up makes me think this is a big figure. Regardless of what size this thing is, I just want it to reach production stages!
  5. No release date yet. The only number I could understand was the scale.
  6. I found some more info regarding that big MADOX from Wonderfest from this guy's twitter feed. So, let's say the MADOX-01 is around 10 feet tall. At 1/7 scale, this toy would be a little over a foot tall.
  7. More pics of the Action Toys GoBots. I'm really liking the stumpy Tank!
  8. Not necessarily true. It's a crap shoot, I think. I have a Hasbro and a Takara one, and both are just as good. What you read could just be talk from people who automatically believe that Takara MPs are naturally better than the Hasbro releases.
  9. Congrats, I'm still having fun with mine, and I still haven't plugged in any of his accessories. I dunno about Hot Rod's Speed and Courage, but Judgement should be a 0.
  10. I got high hopes for Darkwing and Dreadwind. If they're going to be as good as Ironwill, that is. Uranos isn't ALL bad. I think the limbs make ok jets, it's just TFC's version of Silverbolt that completely borked everything up in a big way.
  11. I had my doubts too, especially with the "tires for butt cheeks" thing, but after finally getting to handle him, those things didn't seem to matter too much. His paint and finish is superb, I didn't run into any floppiness with his joints, and the face sculpts are spot on. Looking at his bot mode, it's a wonder to think it all folds up tightly into a vanette. I have to note too that the transformation is forgiving; as all the parts comes together, it all just fits if that makes any sense. I guess I'm just used to 3rd party stuff where all the tabs and locks have to be lined up perfectly for proper transformations. In any case, Ironhide makes a great MP.
  12. They are essentially the same, just different heads and colors. My Exhaust is just as tight and solid as WJ. Have you considered getting Ironhide? His transformation is complex as MPs go, but also very fun IMO.
  13. Complex, intricate transformation and solid alt modes? They are not MPs, but have you handled a Binaltech or an Alternity TF?
  14. Useless easter egg time: you can make the pilot on the left blink by holding down one of the buttons on the controller.
  15. So for this new Red Alert, the "CHIEF" marking only appears in bot mode, not in alt mode?
  16. Once I actually get to go home and unpack my Quantron, I hope to have something far more constructive to offer. All I can say for now is that Afterburner as a Tron light cycle was an excellent idea
  17. I got the reprolabel set for Sphinx; overall it's a great set. I didn't use all the labels, there were some markings that seemed unecessary. There is no dedicated Autobot logo for the front of the car/bot chest. You will have to get a set of their plain Autobot symbols to cover up the "26". Problem is I don't know if there is one that is big enough to cover it up properly. The same goes for the tampo printed "ell".
  18. Scrapper's bot mode looks pretty solid, heck, all of the individual bot modes for GT's Devy look good. Constructor wins me over though for the Studio OX inspired combined mode and the working treads. If I was gonna get another 3rd party Devy I'd go for TW's. And I probably will once I actually get to selling some stuff... After what TFC did with Superion (to be more precise, Silverbolt), I'm still a little leery about their combiners. I just hope it will have less greebly bits and deco than Warbotron's mess of a Bruticus.
  19. I only have Vulcan out of all the Grimmys listed. I liked FoC's Grimmy, so getting it was a no brainer for me. Vulcan definitely improves on the official version in size and articulation, a worthy purchase. I know you don't care for the design, but Vulcan makes a great Grimlock. And thanks for your thoughts on Ordin, MikeZ. It helps me figure which side of the fence I'm gonna fall in the future.
  20. These kicks are sweet! Imagine all the sci-fi street cred you could get struttin' around the SDCC in those.
