  1. I think I want this. I'm guessing Buzz will get gattai action of his own later on.
  2. Valks are so much more fun to play with when they have dancing partners-loving my Glaug and Regults! Now I want me some missile pod Regult variants.
  3. If you saw Zybots, chances are good that Convertors were found on the same peg/shelf. This was a common occurrence in stores like Walgreen's, Long's, or even grocery chains like Safeway. My cheap toy sources were Alpha Betas and Thrifty's.
  4. My guess is that the bonus accessories will be in-scale figurines of Noa and crew.
  5. GT's offering looks great, but I really miss that box spoiler on Jazz. As for toys I actually own, I had time to relax and got some toys out of storage:
  6. I hope Bandai goes all the way with this, unlike their Labor in Action line.
  7. I never got a chance to show this until I got home. I disliked TFC's Blackbird so much that I wanted to exclude him and salvage the rest of Uranos' limbs somehow. This is what it looks like when you buff out a CW Silverbolt with Perfect Effect's breastplate and nonef's thigh fillers, then attach Uranos limbs via glaug's Shapeways adapters:
  8. New photos of Wildrider and Breakdown from that gigantic Menasor have emerged. Not really feeling Breakdown's colors; those blue dots at the rear are off-putting.
  9. Those paws look awfully big though. It gives Weirdwolf a goofier look.
  10. Go for the MasterPiece Ratchet and don't look back. The MP Ironhide that was released earlier was a great MP so I expect MP Ratchet to be just as good. There are currently two unofficial toys of Ratchet, iGear's PP-05M Medical Specialist, and Voodoo Robots' Salus. PP-05M is a fiddly beast to play with, and is very outdated compared with the MP. I do not own Salus, but I hear of its durability issues often. There is also the official, smaller, Deluxe sized Ratchet from Hasbro under their Classics line and Takara from their Henkei line. They are essentially the same figure, but the Henkei version sports a different deco with more paint apps.
  11. 1. Yep, different paint job; red "shorts", different chest deco, grey head. That one came out around the same time as Maketoys' bigger, more accurate version of Chromedome. 2. No reissues yet, AFAIK. 3.I guess FP changed their numbers around, cuz I thought X6 was Hardhead, X7 Apeface, and X8 Highbrow. That was over a year ago, though.
  12. The only toy that may have matched my excitement level upon getting a 1/48 valk would be the first Masterpiece Optimus Prime. My 1/48s still rock, and I'm not gonna let go of them. Unless a V.2 comes out...
  13. After much time and drama, it looks like Spinout is finally hitting the market. Despite the changes, I still prefer its look over Sunsurge's.
  14. I got their respective sets on reprolabels, and while I used them sparingly, I did end up putting the con symbols where they were supposed to go. Except for DF and TB. DF is sporting black transparent symbols from a vendor in etsy, and TB is wearing a silver con symbol from reprolabels. My Diesel got the same placement as yours, but I used a raised, silver-backed symbol for Intimidator's chest. In general I don't like splitting markings when they have to go over two separate parts for transformation, even if it goes against what they look like canonically. Oh yeah, I ended up getting FP Mindwipe. That sale price was good enough for me.
  15. I have Smart Robin and Code from the Function X line. Both are great figures that have fun and clever transformations. I'd go so far to say that they made me a Headmaster fan. I've been meaning to get their Mindwipe as well, but other things kept popping up.
  16. If you end up liking Intimidator as much as I did, do consider getting the DMY D-06 upgrade kit. The main reason to get the kit was to give Down Force a G1 makeover, but I liked the parts for combined mode even more. The kit gives Intimidator a filled out, defined abdomen, stronger ratchets for his ankle tilts, arm filler parts for the elbow + forearm, and a small red chest piece. (I forgot to replace the Shadow Fisher elbow filler parts with the DMY ones in my pic!) The kit also gives you additional pieces so you can choose if you want the ab piece, arm fillers, and elbow fillers to be black or gray. As far as the Down Force parts go, it's ingenious and gives DF yellow, wider feet to replace his dainty purple ones. Unfortunately, you have to remove them for alt mode to be stored in the rear of the car, with its black ball joints sticking out. The additional set of wheels and front wing is nice, but it just makes DF more fiddly in bot mode.
