  1. The day's finally arrived. Die cast models of AĆ©rospatiale/BAC Concordes have finally been made at a scale I can truly appreciate. Gemini Jets has previously released a 1/200 scale Concorde in British Airways livery, but the one I was waiting for was the Air France version, one of their latest releases. I received it yesterday, and it is glorious. It has been painted beautifully; I couldn't find a flaw. Its total length is approximately one foot with a wingspan of five inches, and it has a good heft to it. The model can be displayed in-flight or with the landing gear down. I haven't plugged the landing gear in yet, but I have to point out that the doors used for the rear in in-flight mode are attached via small round magnets. It's really cool and I wish more models would use that approach. The front in-flight doors on mine aren't completely flush, they stick out by a fraction of a millimeter, but I reckon a filing job would fix that. The model's nose even has the drooping action with a attachable visor to simulate the fully streamlined mode. Even with the tiny pegs used to attach the visor, mine is a little loose. It's a minor niggle that doesn't detract from the overall excellence this model exudes. Not many accessories to mention; just a wooden display stand (with rubber padding to avoid scratching where it attaches to the model-nice!) and two small picks that are used to remove the landing doors in in-flight mode. It's a great piece, and any die cast plane collector should check it out.
  2. Gah, oh well. It was worth a shot. My dog needed a new collar trinket anyways.
  3. ...we're gonna be getting INSTRUCTION MANUALS for the Betas, aren't we?
  4. After looking at some newer pics of DX9's Megs, I'm having a hard time sticking with my first choice of MT's Despotron being my MP styled Megatron. I'm definitely liking Mightron's head sculpt and legs more than Despotron's.
  5. Well I know it IS stored with other garbage figures like the old Banprestos and some other Toynami junk.
  6. Well holy crap. I got my shipping notice too. Now where the heck did I store my Alpha?
  7. I'm 90% sure they won't be arriving. I'm just waiting for the apologetic email from Walmart in regards to an error of some sort.
  8. I don't think that vendor will honor that price. But I gave it shot anyways. We'll see what happens.
  9. Mine arrived from the same vendor around 3 days ago. Thanks for the info, that was a sweet deal!
  10. Not a bad discount. There was only one logical choice after saving some scratch for a potentially improved VF-2SS from Evo Toys. Seeing how that turned out, I'm now making room for a Monster-nee ha!
  11. I think Despotron looks smashing with MP-10. If its build quality is just as good, he will be mine. After seeing MMC's Hoist, I may NOT mix and match between Badcube and MMC.
  12. Yeah, that's right, Skids came in at the same time as Tracks. As far as the others go, Cosmos is fine as a legends figure in my book, but Powerglide could use more love along with Seaspray. I would toss in Hauler in there as well, but I figure Takara will make an Inferno redeco of him in the future.
  13. I forgot that Toyworld also has their Trailbreaker in the works. For me it's going to boil down between MMC and Badcube. Maybe I'll just mix and match between the both of them for Hoist and Trailbreaker. Who's left for the Season 1 and 2 ark crew for MP styled treatment? Skids and Cliffjumper?
  14. More Patlabor is always good, color me hyped.
  15. There's a lot to look forward to, no doubt. Despotron looks sick, makes me glad to have passed over Apollyon. Also can't wait to see MMC Strika as Roadbuster.
  16. Ooh, I completely forgot about the Ecto 1 set-thanks for the reminder, Swoosh. It looks great, especially with the lights. Are you gonna get the firehouse to go with it? I think the only other Lego set I want is of the Space Shuttle Expedition from a few years ago. I regret passing it up on the shelf because the secondary market prices for it now are too high for me.
  17. I've read the physical copy will have artwork as bonuses. It's not much of an incentive, but I'll wait for it. My gaming career has slowed down to almost a halt anyways, so I'm in no rush.
  18. The English version of the Assault Suit Leynos remake should now be digitally available! Word on the street is that physical copies should be out in September.
  19. It needs a Bandai release, that's what it needs.
  20. Still keeping mine. I like to have a semi stylized Inferno to mess around with. Hellfire is quite a good figure, and it certainly did not come with all the issues that I've been reading about with Backdraft.
  21. Personally, I was torn between Backdraft and MP Inferno. Backdraft had a deal on its PO and the realistic alt mode looks great. MP Inferno is definitely going for the toon look, and Takara's innovation shines with the hidden ladder in bot mode. The way MMC has been going, I'm sure Backdraft will be a great figure, but Takara's innovation won me over.
  22. My Magic Ball says it's "Most Likely". In the meantime, I think I found my new Classics Prime. It's Megatron counterpart looks quite svelte.
  23. Same here. Scrapped my Backdraft preorder and went the way of Takara.
  24. Oh my. One of my wishes for a 3rd party creation might come true. I thought ROTF Bludgeon with the 3rd party head was good, but this Bludgeon takes it to another level.
