  1. Utopia is my definitive choice for Metroplex. I was hoping MT would've done their Trypticon by now but they went with Scorponok instead.
  2. I loves me some Front Mission. "Salvo" skill plus missile launcher refills is always fun.
  3. They got me on this one. I passed up on the Aston Martin, but I couldn't say no to a fastback Mustang.
  4. "Hot Blooded Family", right? Yeah, it's been forever since I played that one at my friend's dorm. I remember it being slower paced and quite long for a beat-em-up. Hyperduel is a fine shooter in its own right. The way Technosoft worked the transformable fighter gimmick is far easier and more fun than what any Macross shooter offers. It's not that it's not good, it just seemed like a let down after TFV. I heard that it was different team that made TFVI, and it's evident in the music and in some things that made it seem like a tired rehash. I can't remember exactly what gave me that impression though.
  5. Both choice shooters-good haul! Oh yeah, Devil Engine is pretty sweet, a worthy addition to the ThunderForce legacy. (I'll just forget about TF VI)
  6. Considering how much was crammed into two hours of film, this movie rocked. Action sequences were superb and major plot points from the source material were delivered in a not-TOO-convoluted pace. I took my mom to see this, and even she had a good time without knowing a lick of the manga. Glad I caught it on the big screen, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Maybe mama bear can make it this time!
  7. Just when I thought the ninjas from World Heroes were coming from left field, in comes Axe Battler-awesome!
  8. Ooh they moved onto the Falcon armor, definitely getting this. Crossing my fingers for Zero as well.
  9. Congrats, I love my Blodias! I guess it was too much to hope for more Cyberbots from Sentinel.
  10. Yes, I'm definitely keeping my eye on Skyfire as well. The added helmet and armor parts are a nice touch.
  11. From that last vid, I'm guessing this is going to be a hefty sumbitch. BTW, HLJ has the 2nd issue for preorder.
  12. Hmm, how do I convince mama bear that this is definitely a Valentine's Day movie we have to see?
  13. This came out of left field: Vixen 357. While the translated version has been out there for a while now, it's cool to see it or get the royal treatment.
  14. So I've been asking HLJ to offer subscription services for the Hachette kit. The end result is that they can't offer a subscription, BUT they will now offer individual issues for sale. 1st one now on preorder: https://hlj.com/space-battleship-yamato-2202-1-350-yamato-weekly-magazine-001-hsjwym001
  15. Nope they didn't. The shot is from The Man in the High Castle where an alternative outcome of WWII takes center, so that's why we see a Kamov helicopter buzzing the Yamato.
  16. A whimsical coming of age story that centers around the glory days of japanese arcades and video game consoles? Yeah, I think I'm hooked on Hi Score Girl. The second episode was a love letter to sick days and the PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16 so I totally connected with it.
  17. Kyo looks good, even better than the upcoming 1/6 figure. Terry Bogard might just get a well sculpted figure.
  18. Surprisingly, Books Kinokuniya couldn't offer their services for the Hachette subscription. My best guess for anyone who wants to get in on this is Amazon JP or some proxy service.
  19. Yeah, that must be it. I think that kit hit the market before 2199 was released.
  20. Huh, even though they're at the same scale, the Hachette model is going to be longer at 3.1 feet as opposed to Bandai's at 2.8 feet; a difference of just over 3 inches.
  21. Just for kicks I asked Books Kinokuniya Web for a subscription quote to get the whole model. It might be cheaper for those who live close to an actual Kinokuniya store.
  22. No worries. I'm just glad Sentinel is actually taking a stab at it.
