The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I Dang, she sounds tedious. I got one on preorder because I couldn't deny her killer Porsche 959 alt mode. I'm hoping FH makes a rally colored repaint.- 9143 replies

For kicks, I tried out Nin-Nin Game, and their shipping price was around $160 IIRC.

The Transformers Thread (licensed) Next

Maybe Hasbro is finally taking cues for inspiration. The pic above was already pointed out here a long time ago, but here is the source. The A-Team van as a Bulkhead-style character would be an insta-buy for me.- 16711 replies

Heh, fine by me. I'm saturated with the VF-1 by now. I'll take a gigantic, classic super robot combiner over a VF-1 at this point, even if it is Roy's. As for that YF-21 however...

The Third Party Gundam Thread
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to slaginpit's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I placed an order for the Sinanju last year was and led to think that ShowZ dropped the ball. Just when I was thinking of claiming a Paypal loss, the blingy bastard actually made it to my porch.- 2158 replies

So far so good, my Legioss seems ok. There was a flash of impending gloom when I saw a loose, tiny round part lying on the packaging tray, but it was just an intake cover that popped off. The pilot figure is loosy goosy and will come apart easily, but it's nothing compared to how great this Legioss is. It removes the bad taste Evolution Toys left behind, and it leaves me hoping for a Tread from Sentinel's Riobot line or their plastic model offshoot line.

So you want to be a RAF Phantom pilot? Seeing their analogue flight simulator at the 22:30 mark was intriguing. -

I hope they don't put in too much techy armor highlights on Storm Shadow.

That sounds awful. As for me, I missed Amazon JP's DHL delivery, so I gotta wait just a little longer for my Legioss.

All Things Front Mission
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to Valkyrie Hunter D's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That's cheaper than I anticipated. I guess this line gives you a better chance to assemble your in-game squad, especially if you mixed up body parts a lot (My wanzers often ended up keeping their stock parts). Seeing the Numsekar and Giza in this line gives me hope they'll make more non-satndard wanzers.- 76 replies

All Things Front Mission
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to Valkyrie Hunter D's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Great sculpts on this line, but 1/72 scale means approximately 3-4 inches for these kits. I would love them to be 1/35 scale to mesh well with existing tank and infantry model lines, but beggars can't be choosers when it comes to Front Mission goods. Thanks for the heads up, Big s, I'll probably pick up the Zenith for gits and shiggles.- 76 replies

Regardless of what anyone thinks about these guys, I think this is still quite a feat: Lego AC-130. Dunno if I'd blow the cash even if I had that much, I'd be happy just admiring it from afar.

I love how it looks completely straight while resting on its landing gear. Good clearance too!

The General Movie Thread
Valkyrie Hunter D replied to TangledThorns's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
On a whim, I watched The Wolf's Call on Netflix. I didn't have any high expectations for it, but I ended up pleasantly surprised. Very reminiscent of The Hunt for Red October, but with a very different story. I highly recommend it if you're craving to watch a modern submarine warfare movie, albeit with a French flavor.- 1416 replies

With my boys home for a lot longer than we all anticipated, I got this to build with them: But this one is just for Daddy : Overall, the Huey has good proportions, I just have to tinker with the front windscreen area to shrink it down a stud height or two. Maybe I'll add some rocket launchers and machine guns too.
