  1. They look great together- makes me wish for a casual, unarmored figma of Priss.
  2. Nugget explains Strangereal:
  3. If I could, I would make an in-scale dakimakura of Arcee for him. The paint scheme is kinda bland for alt mode, it just looks like a Japanese patrol vehicle. I'd prefer something more bombastic for Drift. Nevertheless, I'm still getting one; I quite like the design choice.
  4. I ordered some add on parts from Brickdesigners not too long ago. I couldn't pass up their printed parts for an Abrams tank, especially when they offer to print your tank name on the main cannon barrel 😆. While designed for a Brickmania designed tank, I figure the printed pieces would also work my Armorbrick Abrams: I also bought a custom tanker minifig for it from Brickmania: The CIP panels are nicely printed:
  5. I got the retro card backed 6" figures of Gung Ho, Lady Jaye, Baroness, and Destro today from Walmart. If I was really into getting my toys in MOC condition, I would be pissed because Walmart just used soft baggie pouches. Consequently, two of the figures had torn card and/or bent card tops. They all look great though. So great, in fact, that it spurred me on in backing the HISS to get retro Cobra Commander. Nostalgia definitely twisted my arm, but it didn't have to twist too hard.
  6. I was looking forward to Sol as well, but they're using the design from Strive instead of Xrd where he had more voluminous hair and a wilder look. I'm kinda underwhelmed by their Mai from that one pic. I need to see more of her to make a good judgement, but for now her sculpt and facial expression looks bland. Overall though, Storm seems to improving their female sculpts.
  7. Thanks, purchases like this require a green light from my other half and I'm glad she gave her approval. It just makes wonder what she plans to buy for herself in return... Anyways, the A-10 turned out great, and I only have a few very minor tweaks in mind, including a new head for the pilot.
  8. Almost done, but building the rear portion of the engines proved to be too finnicky for my sons. All those curved slope pieces are preciously mounted: The pilot minifig, while magnificently printed, has a bland expression on its face: After mounting the engines, we attached the vertical stabs, and voila: LEGO goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTT!!
  9. The custom printing and minifigs do add to the cost but I reckon a big reason why the kits get pricey is because they don't have a factory to make their own pieces, so they have to get pieces by buying LEGO kits on their own. To their credit, the pieces they sort out for their own kits look brand new with no blemishes or scratches. All the pieces I've encountered for the A-10 so far look to be all genuine LEGO brand parts. For the record, I don't regularly drop a G on LEGO kits, but my love for the A-10 knows no bounds.
  10. Yes, they do. However, do check their Instagram page too. Teasers of upcoming kits are posted there, and they share much more information in the comments section than their actual website. It's where I learned their B-2 costs 5k 😬.
  11. For now it looks like they are out of stock of any of their A-10 kits. But I think chances are good it'll make a comeback seeing how they made multiple versions of their F-18 design. At the very least, they'll most likely sell the instructions as they did with the F-18. If they make another A-10 kit, it won't be from any of the previous squadrons depicted. Apparently they match the number of kits they produce to the actual number of planes the squadron has.
  12. After building the upper half of the fuselage, my boys needed help securing it without breaking anything: The body tapers nicely from the front to the rear through some unorthodox building techniques-very cool!
  13. He had some legendary roles, RIP Mr. Caan.
  14. My boys and I haven't had much time to build the A-10 ever since our vacation ended, but we did get the flight stand, munitions, and part of the tail done: The printed detail on this thing is quite extraordinary.
  15. From Tag Hobby: From the translation: "As the main exhibition of this special exhibition, a completely newly produced Macross ship's automatic transformation robot with a diameter of about 700 mm will be exhibited. By using the robot control system "V-Sido" of Asratec Co., Ltd., the space is produced with the Macross ship body that can be automatically deformed and the staging image that matches the deformation. ● Planning and supervision: Hidetaka Tenjin ● System production: Wataru Yoshizaki (Asratec Co., Ltd.)"
  16. Raider X showing off it's teeth:
  17. Once they built the other wing, my boys needed help getting all the big pieces together: Once both wings were reinforced, the whole assembly felt solid:
